The five girls continued their morning like every other, but in a more lively mood. Things have changed as a week passed by, but it only felt like a day.

Elena was showing brain activity, the medicine was helping and the doctors also believed that her breathing by herself was also helping the cause.

Spending their days at a hospital seemed over depressing. But, the girls enjoyed it. They were grateful for the time that they had with Elena and were going to make the most of it.

Jamie sat and watched as Jesy stroked Abigail's hand in a motherly manner. She felt happy that they were growing more fond of Elena, and even herself because of a huge event.

Jamie was also texting her best friend Mason. They haven't seen each other for a while, for Jamie was being homeschooled.

Jesy, and Perrie, both thought it would be better for her. Jade and Leigh disagreed. They thought Jamie would become depressed for not having any social life.

They left it up to Jamie and she decided on homeschooling, anything to save her from getting up early in the morning.

It's not that Jamie hated school, she justed didn't like being an early bird. Nor, did she like having to be treated like a pop star.

Being popular in a bratty school was not on her wish list. Mason was her best friend because they met at lunch on Jamie's first day.

She was looking for a place to sit and saw the blonde haired girl sitting alone at the last table.

Jamie thought that she would be a great friend. With that being said, she sat with the girl and they became best friends from there.

They accepted each others flaws and past. They also accepted each others present life, and future life.

"Have you wondered what it would be like if she woke up?" Jade asked. Breaking everyone out of their person thoughts.

They all looked at each and gave small smiles.

"That would be amazing." Perrie said.

"Amen." Leigh spoke.

Jamie giggled along with Jesy. They all sat in silence, a happy silence, if that makes sense.

Your heart flutters with every happy thought. You think of everything good happening, and abstain happiness from the people around you from being grateful.

This was what Jamie and the five other ladies in the room were feeling at the moment. They also thought of everything that could happen if Elena woke up.

Eventually they had to go back to  the comforts of their home. Most trips back from the hospital were depressing and sometimes tears were shed.

But, not this time. This time they all sat in the car laughing as Perrie and Jade sang to a random song on the radio.

Jamie started to remember the old days as a child doing the same fun activities. It upset her at first, but then she reminded herself that was her past.

This was her present and she loved the girls deeply. She was also happy that she got adopted by them. They were her everything, and she was their rock.

If one of them were to die, the others would die inside.

The next day came with ease and they were all sitting around the table eating breakfast.

As they were laughing at a cheesy joke Jade made, the phone rang.

"I've got it." Jesy said standing up.

As she reached the phone she said, "It's the hospital."

They all looked at each other with fear in their eyes. Jesy picked up the phone and pressed it to her ear.

"Hello?"

The room was silent enough to hear a pin drop. Each of the girls were frozen in their spots. No one took in a single once of air. Not one muscle was moved either.

"Yes, this is her." Jesy said in a shaky voice.

Jamie was scared to death. She could feel her heart pounding as she strained her ears to listen to the person on the other side of the speaker.

The only problem was, she couldn't hear anything. She could also sense the girls around her trying to tap in on the conversation.

Like a brother sneaking on his sisters phone to read her messages. Only this was serious.

The odds were still slim for her to wake up, according to the doctor. He explained she was getting a lot better, better than what he expected. Yet, he still found it a chance she would not survive.   Was she dead?

That scared the girls most at the moment, that the person on the other side was calling to say their beloved daughter was gone.

"Ok, we are on our way." She said hanging up the phone.

The four other girls jumped into action. They threw away the untouched food, and then threw their plates into the sink.

All the while the only sound you could hear was dishes being thrown into the sink.

Not one of them asked Jesy what she was told on the phone, in fear of what they might hear.

They also feared they already knew.

"Come on, we gotta get to the hospital fast." Jesy yelled though the kitchen.

They all ran to the parked car and off they were to see Elena.
