it costs nothing

that one smile did everything

Going back from college and craving for food is so normal. So was i !! I and my friend headed towards a restaurant.
Ordered some food and waitng out there.
An extream old lady came to us. And to be honest we did'nt had enough to give. I felt what could be more better than to feed someone in need!! So we ordered little extra. Boom!! our food came .. She was still roaming around the crowd in a hope of money. Her age would be around of our grands, she was barely walking. Leaned and weak.
I asked my friend to call her and give this one plate of food to her. It was little awkward at first to how to call her from a crowd. "damn! why are we hesitating, are we going to do a crime?" I said to my friend in a frustration.
And i actually felt my words. Why to hesitate? Infact do it with a courage and let others see and remember this part of us.
"listen" my friend finally called her up; glad we were! that she heard it at our first attempt.
"take this" i handed her a plate of munchurian with a smile on face.
I looked down at my plate to not to make any eye contact with anyone. I didn't wanted it to portray this thing as a show off. But "booom" i saw two guys looking at us. I looked away. It was awkward at first to think why are they looking at us like this?
But then i looked back to that old lady. She was having it with her hand! Probably a hunger don't need a spoon.
I called waiter and asked him to take the plate afterworfs from her. He nodded and smiled. And i liked that.
She kept eating it, did'nt even gave us a glance. Nor i was waiting for that. I got no response from her; no smile , no thanks. Nor do i was wanting it. Thing that i wanted, i already got it.
Trust me "IT COSTS NOTHING"
