"Where are you going," I asked nervously. Kenji had been packing for days now, unsure what to pack and what not to. "Are you leaving?" My eyes brimmed with tears. His shoulders sagged over his suitcase and looked up at me. I stared at the ground fighting the tears that spilled hopelessly out of eyes. He gently lifted my face up to his. His dark, brown eyes sparkled, he wiped away my tears with his thumbs and pulled me into a gentle hug. I knew was leaving...leaving me. I'd be alone without him, a body without its soul, music without a beat, a painting without a canvas. "Would at least tell me where you're going?" My voice  had cracked at going.

He gently rubbed my back, "I'm going back...to Japan. To visit my grandparents....for a bit." He softly kissed the top of my head and my eyes as if to wipe away my tears. I took a deep breath and the scent of his body swept inside me then pulled back slightly. Looking back up, he leaned down to kiss me goodbye. His lips were soft, warm, and wet from my tears. He cradled me in his arms for a while and only released me to keep packing. He paused over his suitcase when his shoulders, hunched over his suitcase, had began to shake quietly. I touched his shoulders, his tears were more painful then anything I had ever felt. I hugged him once more and helped him pack. He looked up with his brown eyes, soaked in tears, to once more kiss me good-bye. He shut his suitcase and left me in his room.
