Nightmares. I have them every night. I can't even escape them, until Evan shakes me awake.
"Prim?" I ask frantically.
"Prim? Prim, where are you?"
"Mommy! Mommy! Help me!" She screams at the top of her lungs.
"I'm coming Prim!" I yell.
I run through the well-known forest, looking for Prim. I finally spot her, with a man. Two other men take my arms and then, tie me to a tree. I can't move, and one of the men have a knife pointed to my throat.
"Say goodbye to your little Primrose." The man near Prim cackles. He takes a knife and slices her heart open.
"NO!"I scream.
Then, the man near me, slits my throat, and I am awaken by, none other than Evan.
"It was just a dream.
You're okay." He tells me.
I try not to sob. I just lay there on my back. Thinking about the horrible nightmare.
"Prim's alive." I tell myself.
Evan is now asleep and is mumbling things in his sleep. I listen to his mumblings.
"Prim. Justin. Alissa. Are you guys okay. I'm worried about you."
He's having a nightmare again.
"Evan. Evan, wake up." I say.
He wakes up startled.
"It's okay. It was just a nightmare. It doesn't really mean anything." I tell him.
We both go back to sleep, and I sleep dreamlessly. I can't say the same for Evan.
