Reghan's POV

It's mine and my twin sister Bethany's 16th birthday and honestly I couldn't be any more nervous than I am at this point.
We've been asked to hold a Selection. For how long, that's up to us. We, haven't decided yet. I look over at Bethany. She's always been good at holding in her nervousness in front of cameras. She has short brown hair, unlike either of our parents, but a mixture of blue and brown eyes, which are both of our parents eye colors.
I, on the other hand have a totally different appearance. I have long red hair, like our mom and the brightest blue eyes, like our dad. The rest of our appearances, however, are nothing like either of our parents'. We were only 3 seconds apart, I'm older, but not that it matters. We both get an equal amount of stress.
"Happy birthday my dear daughters" Dad says. We both look at each other, and then to dad.
"We aren't your dears!" We yell before doubling over into laughter. Mom used to say that to dad when he called her "my dear" during his Selection.  Mom giggles a little, and eventually so does dad.
"Make a wish," Mom says, most likely wondering if what she got us is good enough. We tell her every year that we love her gifts, but she just doesn't listen. We blow out our candles and eat the cake, etc, etc. and then we get straight to presents. The first one is a small box, one for each of us. We unwrap it and carefully open the box. I take the object out and look at it. I stare at it for a while before I realize what it is. I gasp.
"Where did you get this?" I say, barley above a whisper.
"What is it?" My kind of cousin Josie asks. She's just 13 years old and she's... Very bubbly.
"It's one of those iPhone 6+'s that were out in the 21st century" I say, still very shocked. Mom and Dad are smiling, and Bethany is already setting it up. After all the presents are opened, we got the phones, like 500 different phone cases (that we'll share), a bunch of cards to get music on the phones, and small, portable speakers to go with them.
This day was the best day ever, but I have a feeling we have a lot coming at us.
