The sun was pouring into my mom's car while we drove along the dirt road.  My mom and my dad were arguing like they usually do, so I stuck in my ear buds to drowned out the noise, I crank the noise up all the way and look out the car window wondering why I even had to come here in the first place, I mean the only reason why I have to come here was because my mom was going out of town for business and she doesn't trust my dad. I feel a tap on my leg and I look up it's my dad probably wanting me to settle an argument like always. I take my ear buds out and tell them not to bother me and that they need to stop asking me there grown adults and they need to settle it like adults.

After another hour or so in the car we start to slow down and eventually stop all together. I take my ear buds out to a loud "we're here." I slam the door and grab my all of 2 bags and start up to the house, my parents left as soon as they through my luggage out. Great now I'm stuck here without any idea were to go I mumble to myself. I find myself walking up the steps of an old grimy looking lighthouse, I knock three times and push open the door slightly inside there's all types of pictures and  fancy candy's in old antique jars. I look to my left and see the stairs leading up to the higher level that holds the light. I decide to go to my right witch turns into the living room or what used to be the living room any way's. I finally yell out  to see if anybody's there finally somebody answers me and comes crashing down the stairs.  "ah my niece... Jessica? well anyways I'll show you to your room, but first did you close the door? And then you can look around do you need any thing while I'm up?  First of all my name is lizzie call me Liz, Yes I did close the door, and no I don't need any thing! After I somehow managed to say all that I take a couple big breathes.

After my uncle Joel shows me to my room he ventures off somewhere and tells me to go exploring. I walk down the stairs and go back into the living room with my laptop in hand. I flop down on the couch and open my computer up. Great no connection. I close it back up and take out my phone even though there's no connection my phone get's internet. I decide to text my friend Stacy she's been harassing me what it's like inside.  I tell her it's OK but I want to be at home were all my friends are, where I grew up.

"This sucks, there nothing to do here." As soon as I said this Uncle Joel gave me a nasty look that I thought he would not have been capable of.
