A Strange Kind of Love Chapter 8-I Was So Close!

Kagome looked at Inuyasha smiled, and said," Hi Inuyasha it's good to see you again. Hows life going?" Inuyasha gulped and said very nervously," H-H-Hey K-K-Kagome it's n-nice to s-see you t-to. L-Life is g-good here heh heh. Whatbringsyoutoourhome?" Kagome asked," Sorry? Could you please repeat the last part I didn't quite get that." Inuyasha gulped once more and repeated," I said what brings you to our home?" Kagome smiled and said quite casually," Oh nothing really except the desire to torture you both and to see the look of horror on both your faces. Other than that life is quite happy I would say." When Kagome looked at Inuyasha and Kikyo they were both super pale and had looks of pure fear and horror written across their faces. Kagome realized that they both zoned out thinking of a way to try to get away from her. Kagome waved her hand infront of their faces and instantly the came back to consciousness. Kikyo was first to give her excuse," Well I have to take off now for the market. Sorry I didn't get time to chat with you Kagome." And with that she slipped by Kagome and quickly walked away. When Kikyo was out of sight she started to run as fast as she could. Inuyasha was next," Well I would love to stay and chat but I have some business to take care of." And he slipped away as well and when out of sight he ran to catch up with Kikyo. Kagome thought ," Let's have some fun ne? I'll give them a few seconds more. Ha. As if." Kagome then took off after them katanas ready.

Once Kagome caught sight of them she sprinted towards them and yelled," I'm coming for you both! Get ready to have the most running in your whole entire life!" Inuyasha and Kikyo turned around when they heard Kagome starting to yell at them and gave yips of fear and started to run once again. They kept turning down different areas of the village still in undeniable fear. No matter what turns they took they couldn't get Kagome off their tail. Kagome took her bow and arrows and started to shoot a couple of the arrows at them. She had some real close shots but none of them got her prey even if she had some amazingly dangerous accuracy. Inuyasha and Kikyo continued to run no matter how much they wanted to stop. They were losing a lot of their energy and they weren't even in the clear of Kagome yet. Nope not even close. Dang! Why did Kagome have to be so persistent, stubborn, will driven, and darn right super fast?! Kagome was laughing in glee having the time of her life scaring Inubaka and Clay pot. Kagome shot her arrows once more at the dou and this time she didn't miss as bad. No this time she caught Inuyasha by the sleeve of his kimono. Inuyasha was desperately trying to pull the arrow out but it wouldn't budge no matter how much he pulled. Kikyo was keeping watch for Kagome yet worried that Inuyasha would be stuck to the ground because of an arrow. Kikyo then decided that they wouldn't have much time before Kagome got there so she got down on her knees and started to try take the arrow out herself since Inuyasha couldn't do it.

Kagome could feel their presence not to far from where she was. She could feel that she would finally after waiting so long be able to get her revenge. When Kagome got close enough to Inuyasha and Kikyo she was about to strike when she saw Kikyo finally let Inuyasha loose from the arrow that bound him to the ground. Kagome growled and snarled in frustration that she was almost there to catch the two but they slipped right out of her grasp because they once again started running away from her as fast as their feet could carry them. Kagome tried once again to catch them by shooting arrows and she succeeded she caught both of them. Both had two arrows caught by a sleeve of their kimono and as expected they began the struggle of trying to take the arrows out but failed. Just as Kagome was about to approach the two that were about one to two feet away from her on the ground struggling to get free a woman from the village came up to Kagome and pleaded for her help in the village. When Kagome looked back at the spot where Inuyasha and Kikyo she found that they weren't there anymore but instead at a good long distance away from her. On the inside she screamed in rage at the lady before her for making her lose focus of what she wanted done. But on the outside she was kind and friendly and helped the lady as she had requested. Kagome looked back at the spot where she almost had her chance of revenge. She mentally growled. She was so close to getting them! Kagome tossed a rock that was in her path as far as she could to vent her frustration. This was the second time she was interrupted from taking her revenge! Kagome knew one thing though. She wouldn't let them escape her for a third time. That definitely wasn't an option in her book. No way in any universe would she let this happen again. She made a promise to herself. No matter who it was if she was interrupted again in the mists of her revenge she would either kill them no hesitation or if it was family she would just ignore them or kinda have to be rude. She wasn't going to delay her revenge any further than it already was. With that she walked back to Kaede's hut ready to tell Sesshomaru and the others about her disappointing day. She decided that she would need a long bath at the hot springs first just to calm her nerves. Yep her day sucked that much.
