The Beginning

Another bloodcurdling shriek filled the air as I broke the another person's arm. Three people lay at my feet with broken bones, and a knife stuck out of the back of another man. Letting go of the woman's arm, I felt a rush of power pulse through me as yet another man charged at me. I laughed as I rolled under his feet, causing him to trip.

In the middle of the white room, I stood up gracefully to face the man. Grinning, he lunged to get up from his place on the floor. I lifted my bare foot and let it smash into his face. A loud snap told me that I had broken his nose. As he yelled in pain and fell to the floor, I ran over to Natalie.

Gasping for air, she looked up at me; the blood streamed in a thick flow down her head and face. Only a few minutes ago, I had run into this room to see a man bash her head against the metal wall.

"You're gonna live. You've gotta live," I muttered, tears streaming down my face as I ripped cloth from my shirt and held it to her head.

"Stella, it's not going to happen. I've lost too much blood already," Natalie mumbled quietly, "Thanks though." She smiled up at me, her red lipstick and blood mixing together.

"Natalie, what am I going to do without you?" I asked, my eyes widening as I realized I would be alone.

"Live?" She asked, another smile touching her nearly flawless face. Brushing her deep, red hair out of her eyes, I looked into her eyes, searching for any sign of hope. "What are you going to do now that you've hurt people?" She asked quietly, not fully deciding whether or not to bring up the subject. I looked around the white room which now had streaks of red everywhere. I realized what I had just done.

"I- I don't know... Live?" I thought out loud. Natalie giggled a little as her face became paler and paler.

"Don't do anything stupid when I'm gone... Find someone to replace me," She mumbled as she seemed to go limp, but continued breathing shallowly.

"No. Nonononononono. Don't die," Frantically, I searched for a way to stop her bleeding before it was too late.

"Love you."

The last whisper that came out of her mouth echoed in my mind as I slumped to the floor on my knees. Suddenly, the sound of the five people moaning and screaming in agony behind me reached my ears again. Turning to face them as I stood, thoughts raced through my head THEY KILLED HER, YOU CAN GET REVENGE, THEY DESERVE DEATH. I could not stop myself from obeying as I turned to the man who had really killed her. The man who had bashed her head against the wall.

Tilting my head slightly to the side, I watched him convulsing on the white floor since I had broken his leg. Seeing me standing, nearly unharmed, he shrieked in fear, causing me to laugh.

"Have you thought about what you've done?" I asked, moving slowly, silently towards him. He watched me with wide eyes. The fear glimmered like a gem in his eye. "Oh, it looks like you can't get anywhere!" I laughed as I pointed at his leg. Growling at me, he sat up. He tried to look confident, but I could tell from his eyes that he was not. As I kicked him in the stomach, he fell back to the floor with a grunt.

"If you're going to kill me, then just do it," He groaned, closing his eyes in response to the pain. With a high pitched laugh, I took a step back before stomping on his chest. Crack. Screaming at the top of his lungs, he tried to scoot away from me.

"I hope you regret what you've done," I growled as I walked back up to him. Fear covered his entire face. "I think I'll leave you alive to tell everyone about me," I told him as I leaned over to make sure he looked into my eyes. Suddenly having an idea, I told him, "My name's Morningstar. Have a nice day, bastard," I poked his broken rib a couple of times before hurrying over to Natalie's body.
