CHAPTER 12

~Nicola’s P.O.V~

RECAP:

We got to this big fenced in pond, with alligators swimming around.

“ALLIGATORS! LOOK DADDY IT’S AN ALLIGATOR! RAWR!” I jumped up and down and pretended to be an Alligator. Carter joined in and we were playing alligator for a few minutes.

“Nicola! Carter!” We heard a lady yell. All of us turned our heads in the direction of the voice.

“Mai!”

“Mai!” We all called out. Me and Carter sprinted up to her, giving her the biggest hug we could.

“Hey guys! I missed you both so much!” She hugged us back.

“We missed you too Mai!” We smiled at her.

There was a girl our age standing beside her; she had long blonde hair in pigtails. She has a pink floral top on, with a denim skirt on. Typical summer outfit.

“This is my niece, Brooklyn!” She introduced us.

“Hi! She smiled at us.

“Hi Brookie! I’m Nicola and this is Carter!” I introduced me and Carter.

“Would you and Brooklyn like to join us?” Zayn asked Mai.

“We would love to!” Mai smiled at us all.

“Let’s go see the Penguins!” I yelled.

I grabbed Brookie and Carters hand and we all ran to the penguins.

~Niall’s P.O.V~

I led Kayla to a beautiful pond with swans and fish.

We were under a bunch of weeping willow trees, flowers growing up and around them. The pebble pathway led to a bridge that went over the pond.

I took her hand and walked to the middle of the bridge.

I stopped in the middle and turned to Kayla.

“Niall… This is beautiful!” Kayla looked around.

“You are beautiful…” I told her truthfully.

Her turquoise eyes looked into my blue ones. You could get lost in her eyes so easily.

This was it. I had to do it.

I leaned in slowly to her face. Her eyes fluttered closed, and our lips touched.

There were goose bumps all over my body. I put my hands on her waist and she put her hands in my hair.

We stayed like that for a while, in the middle of the bridge with no one around.

We pulled apart, and I already missed her mouth.

I pressed our foreheads together, and smiled at her.

She smiled her bright beautiful smile back at me.

“Will you be my girlfriend, Kayla?” I asked her hopefully.

Her smile got even bigger, if possible.

“I’ve been waiting 4 years for you to ask.” She kissed me once again.
