Della to the side.

People always say that they have a broken heart. Something never to be healed. Ive heard a million times that someones heart had been broken into a million tiny little pieces. But they don't feel they pain in it. Its all a metaphor. This heartbreak was one I could feel. I felt my chest getting heavy and my heart drop. I took him deep, quiet breaths so Niall wouldn't hear.
"That's nice." I said. What else could I say? I'm not going to say that I love him now. He just got a girlfriend. For the first time in a long time, I dot want to ruin that for him. I can't say that I don't like her. I don't even know her! My throat got dry and sore as I said those words.
"Yeah, Abi your going to love her." He said.
"And who is 'her' exactly?" I asked.
"Della. Della Mendler." He smiled.
"The Della Mendler?"
"Yes. The Della Mendler."
Never. Never could I ever compare to her. I've looked up to her sense I was little even of we are the same age. When she was ten, she had it all and she still does. Fame, fortune. I wanted to be just like her. I wanted- well to feel wanted. Even eight years later her fame hasn't died down. She has everything I ever wanted. Including Niall.
"How long has this been going on." I said crossing my arms over my chest and looking down.
"I didn't want to tell you unless I was one hundred percent positive that it was going somewhere," he held my hand. I nodded. "A week or so."
My phone vibrated from my pocket. I slipped it out.
Text from Jakob<3;
Hey babe, I heard Niall's back? Tell him I said hi? Thanks, love you.
Fuck. What am I talking about. Feelings. How am I going to have feeling for Niall! He's my best friend. And I have a boyfriend! That I love very, very, very much. But Niall. I just don't know who I have more feelings for. Jakob or Niall.
"Oh." I said. He laid down and set his head on my lap. I played with his fluffy hair twisting it in my fingers. "Jakob says hi."
Niall huffed.
"What?" I questioned.
"What?" He shook his head. "Hi Jakob."
"Hey." Maddy stumbled up the two stairs to the balcony and stood in front of me and Niall. Obviously she was drunk.
"What in the hell did you drink?" Niall asked.
"And how much?" I asked. Niall stood up and I did the same. We helped Maddy to the nearest guest room, which happens to be "Niall's" room, and laid her on the bed. Niall left the room and I helped Maddy get changed into some more comfortable clothes of mine.
Niall came back into the room.
"Everybody's gone now." He said.
"Well she's beat." I pointed to Maddy sprawled out on the bed.
"Lets go to bed." Niall said. He grabbed some pajamas from the drawer and we walked into my room. I went inside of my closet to get changed. It's a walk in, there is room. I changed into a hoodie and some sweats. I walked out and Niall was in some pajama pants and no shirt on. I looked at the ground as I walked over to my bed and got under the covers. Niall walked over and slid next to me.

I looked at my alarm clock. 3:30am. It's been an hour and I still can't fall asleep. My teeth were chattering. I felt Niall flip over in bed.
"Can't sleep?" He questioned.
"No, you either huh?"
"Because of your teeth chattering Abs."
"I'm sorry, I'm just freezing." I said.
"Are you getting sick or something?" He asked feeling my forehead. "You keep saying your cold yet your in a sweatshirt and sweatpants."
"I'm aware of my outfit Horan." I swatted his hand away annoyed. Not at him. Just my current state of mind. "Sorry." I said. "I know your just trying to help."
"C'mere." He said. I turned over and snuggled into his chest. He wrapped his arms around me and rubbed my back. I love how we can do this. Jakob knows how our relationship works. How close we are. He never gets mad when he hears rumors about Niall and I, or even sees us doing something like this. He's just really understanding I guess. Something that I love about him.
"So when do I get to meet Della?" I questioned.
"Well, she finishes filming for her new movie on Thursday, we could all go to lunch on Friday." He said.
"Jakob is going to his sisters graduation on Friday so he can't come. So it'll be just the three of us." I said. I hate being the third wheel. If I have to see Niall and Della being all lovey dovey I might just explode with jealousy.
"Maddy can come?" he said.
I nodded.
"Oh and don't your parents leave on Friday?"
My parents are always leaving on business. When I was little I always would stay at Niall's during the time but now since I'm older I can be home alone.
I nodded.
"It's a date then."
