Opening the Curtains

  Snow fell slowly from the dark sky, as if time slowed itself. Evan took a breath in the coldness, as he lifted his scarf above his mouth.

  It was a cold night in Toronto, Canada. Evan Fong- who is well known by the alias VanossGaming- has been inactive for weeks, maybe even months from the internet world. Fans would be asking such questions like 'Where's Vanoss?!' or 'Did he quit?!'. However, he would ignore them, and that would only leave his "friends" to answer.

Friends... What did that word mean to him? Why did it hurt him so much? Was it the fact that he missed them? No, it can't be... Right? They're more happier with him than they were with Evan.

Him? That's right... It was the guy that Scotty introduced. What was his name...?

SMii7Y. An eighteen year-old male who quit college and did YouTube instead. He was also Canadian, and now he has taken Fong's place in his group of "friends" that he was no longer apart of.

Evan had no one. Maybe his hockey team, sure. He just didn't know what to do with YouTube now. The idea of quitting the popular video web ran along the lines of ideas, but it soon got replaced with the thought of his so-called "friends".

Delirious, Marcel, Lui, Tyler, Brock... Everyone. Maybe it was just a matter of jealousy, but then again, maybe it wasn't. They all payed attention to that eighteen year-old, that stupid college quitter, that-

"...I should head back home," Evan whispered to himself, as he turned around and slowly started to walk home.

That stupid taker.

  That's what he was. A stupid taker taking his "friends" away. Actually... Why blame it on just him? Scotty was the one who introduced SMii7Y to the group. Then the rest of the guys started to put more attention onto the guy. Evan should be hating all of them. Every single one of them. It was their fault.

Evan stopped in front of the door and dug into his pocket for the keys, before taking them out and put the correct house key into the keyhole, turning it to the right and hearing an audible 'click'.

"I hate them," he said under his breath as he stepped inside.
