i started walking home from school when jake came up from behide me he made me jump  jake is my best friend, jake and i both live with foster family so really we were bother and sister......... okay we aren't realiade but it was real to me  " hey jake did you get the aasignment for mr. maxwell class?" " i'm sorry terra did get it but what do i get for it ?" he laughed while walking backwards " oh... come on jake you know i take school seriously! please ........" i gave him my sad puppy dog look i know he can't resist it . " oh okay! " he handed it over " thank you Jake , and you know what you always fall for that ." i laughed " i know i can't help it ." he smiled we kept walking we live in phoenix,arizona   so it was busy everyone was cowding the side walk " oh boy we are going to be late Jake sherl won't be happy with us today ." i said " but isn't that every day?" " you do have a point there." we kept walking we finally made it home . sherl was making dinner " Jake! Terra! come in here!" i looked at jake he looked worried. i walked in first she was sitting at the old table she didn't look mad but i could see some thing was wrong. " yes? are you okay sherl?" i asked she shook her head " kids i'm sick i only have a week left to live so you will be placed in another home........ in LA, " what ! why didn't you tell us! this whole time you have been sick and now you deside to tell us sherl." i said jake looked at me i left the room he followed after me i went to my room and started my homework. i layed on my stoamach then there was a knock at the door. " come in"  jake walked in . i sat up " hi jake ....." " whats wrong terra?" " were moving again." " so what were moving again were moving to LA come on just amagine how much fun we will have there." " i know but I don't know well did she tell you when were leaving?" i asked " tomorrow she doesn't want us to see her like you know she doesn't want us to see her sick." " i understand so i guess we should pack." he looked at me with sad eyes. " ya we should." he got up and left i got up and started packing i was finally done it was ten at night i was beat i went and layed on the bed and fell asleep. in my dream i saw a girl she lokked kind of like me and our arms were glowing then something i didn't see what starting attacking then there was a locket and two people that died infront of me i screamed . i woke up jakes hands were on my shoulders trying to wake me up. he looked scared he was scared for me then i looked at my wrist my palm up and it was burning and on my wrist was a bird it was blood red. jake looked horrorfiled i could see it in his eyes he knew what was going on. " jake i know you kn ow whats going on? so spill." " i can't really tell you not until you are ready." i didn't fight him i just dropped it . he left my room i tried to go back to sleep but i couldn't i just layed there waiting for the next day to come. finally the sun rose it was time for me to go. i got up grabbed my bag and went out to the living room jake was already siting there waiting " i take it you couldn't sleep ethier." i said " ya  sherl is still sleeping but i told her once you were up we would take off." " were not even saying good bye!" " she doesn't want to say bye so get your things we need to get to the air port i have our tickets lets go." i went to my room and grab my stuff "am ready." we walked outside he called a cab we got in i sat to the window closest to the house which was on the right. then the driver pulled away another home gone another one coming. we made it to the airport we got on the plane i sat next to the window. jake was quiet he looked sad. i looked at my arm were the bird was it was still there it was werid so i asked jake." jake what happend last night ?" " i can't tell you you need to find out on our own" i just looked at him it was a quiet ride we finally made it to LA we got off the air plane we walked to baggance " jake do you know who we are looking for?" " miss. handance.she lives alone and she wanted children but haven't well met the one. she works for the bank she is the vice preasent of the bank." " wow so is she going to come and get us or what by then we had our bags just standing there. " she was surpose to sent someone." then there was a guy with a wipe board that had our names on it ." that would be us." i said to jake we walked up to them " you must be terra, and jake?" the man said " yes that would be us." jake said the man started walking so we followed he lead us out the building to a limo. " jake this is a little much don't you think." " terra, i know this is not what were use to but we have to." he got in the limo then i followed after it was really nice i mean nice there was a tv and water bottles and chips. i grabbed a bottle of water i twisted open the cap and took a sip . jake just looked out the window . i looked at the bird again it was still there but then it started to burn near a alley " Jake my wrist is starting to burn again." " it will pass just relax." so i did and it started to feel better i felt like i was holding something in . and i wanted to let it out. the limo started to stop i looked out the window and the house was huge it looked so peaceful and well exspeative. we got out of the car and walked toward the house i will amit i had butterflys in my stoamach i knocked on the door the door opened and there was a butler " ah!!  you must be master jake and madae terra.welcome to your new home i will show you to your rooms, i started walking when he said " you can place your bags on the floor someone will atent to them so i dropped my bag and followed him up the grand stair case there was to stairs that lead up to the second floor. the first door on the left was jakes room on the right was mine. i opened my door and walked in . it was amazing, there was a den a huge flat screeh tv a couch a mini kichen there was a mini frige, dish washer, sink, micovwave,oven. i opened one of the coupers it was filled with fuit i opened another it had candy then i opened one more chips. wow. i left the kichen and walked pass the den to another room it was a study the was a desk, four bookselfs there was a window too with a great view i left the study and walked to my bedroom it was nice the blanket was white i looked to my right and there was a closet i opened the door it was huge there was even clothes in there they were cute. i walked out of  my room into the hallway. jake was leaning against the wall " jake are you okay?" he looked at me " ya, i'm fine, just thinking. " okay well i'm going down stairs . " " okay i will be down later." " okay." so i went down stairs the living room was nice and big i walked to the back yard and there was a pool a nice  pool and i mean nice pool.there was a fire place and chairs.i walked to the front of the house and was a garge. i went in and opened the door that lead into there and there were two cars in here one was a converable , and a truck a ford f 150. there were even bows on them. i walked back into the house and sat in the living room. jake came down and sat next to me." so.............. Jake what are we going to do now?" " wait i guess." then the butler came to us." hi,miss and mr. may i help you?" then i spoke " what time does." " jake whats her name again?" " miss. handance when does she come home?" " she should be home soon." than he turned and walked away.  we just sat there we sat there for hours then the door opened i stood up. so did jake and a women walked in she has blond hair it was up. she was tall and skinny. she smiled at us " hello terra, and jake i'm carol. i'm your foster mother" " Hi miss handance." i said "  you can call me carol . so did you like your rooms?" " I loved my room." i said " thats wonderful, did you see your cars? jake your car in the truck and terra your well you will know. oh!! you start school tomorrow my butler will tell you later how to get there. what would you  want to eat?" i looked at jake he said " want every you want." she smiled we walked into the dinning room. soon after we ate we sat on the couch and carol asked us a question ." do you guys want to go see a movie?"  i answered " yea that would be awesome!" she smiled she seemed very happy that night. once we got home i said good night to everyone and headed upstairs to my room to go to sleep. jake walked up with me. he seemed sad " Jake okay you have to tell me whats going on with you?" he looked at me " nothings wrong terra you should get some sleep tomorrow is going to be along day."  i looked at him then i walked into my room i went to the bathroom and got ready for a shower. once i got out i grabbed a tank top and a pair of shorts and went to sleep. In my dream i was in a warehouse district and there was these werid creatures chasing me. then my arm started to burn again i looked at my arm and it was glowing then there was someone beside me but i couldn't see their face, then a flash there was two adults looking down at me smiling. then i woke up from the sound of my alarm clock. it was six in the morning. i got up from my bed and walked to m y closet and grabbed a nice top and a pair of jeans and went down stairs jake was sitting in the kicken stuffing his face with muffins. i laughed at him " jake are you are for school?" " not really but what the heck we need something to do."  i ate a muffin and got in my car there was gps so the school was already programed in. we made it to the school it was hard to find a parking spot. i finally found one and i grabbed my back pack and waited for jake to get out of the truck. once he got out we started walking to the school doors . there was a lot of kids outside. they crowded the side walks everyone looked at us when we were about to enter the school they looked at us like we were demons or something. we walked in i thought outside was bad but this is worse. i tryed walking to the office. but i kept bumping into everyone. then someone tryed to trip me but i can't believe how fast jake moved but he cought me before i fell. " thanks jake." " it's okay these people are jerks. but are you okay?" " ya thanks okay so which way to the office because i'm lost." i looked at him and smiled " i think it's this way." he pointed to the left. so we started heading down that way. we finally found the office so we could get our classes. " Hi, i'm Terra filton and this is Jake opelin. we are here for our classe's." " okay deary give me one min please." she then left and came back with two pieces of papers." here you go have a good first day!" we walked back into the crowded hallway. to be continued......
