Loana Madrid was a young girl living with her father in the center of Sacramento, California. She was tall, with long flowing blonde hair and bright green eyes at only 14 years old. Wait, now before we go into more detail I want to tell you that this story is sad. Its of the misfortunes of a girl and her soon to be best friend. She does encounter many issues with life itself, but I guess I should let you read about them. Lets begin our story. Loana was a kind, funny girl who most of the time had a book in her hand or was smiling. She was 10 when her mother Michaela died of a congenital heart failure. Soon after her father Kevin had lost his job in Boston, and he could only find work in Sacramento. They moved over the summer when Loana was finishing Middle School and ready to enter High School. One thing was for sure, even though her father was out of work, they had money. Kevin, Loana's father, had a large trust fund. He had inherited most of that money from his parents when they passed away from a car crash. Loana's father was a nice man, kind and supportive towards her but treated her with a subtle emotional detachment. He needed work to keep him busy. After Michaela died it took him about 4 months before he was back to smiling and fixing things around the house. And when he lost his job, he went handyman crazy. Since then he had found a new job in Sacramento, which would work out well for him as his trust fund was located there. Loana's father was her strong, caring person in her life that she always looked up to and respected. He treated her well, and always did till the day he died. That just about brings us to the end of section one. You may think that Loana's home life is good, but please readers, allow the story to develop. Yes, everything I said about her up to this point is true. Her home life is impeccably nice, and she has a great family, but that isn't everything in life. Life is so much more than that. Life is more than just the things we have.
