Prologue

Eden's POV

"Let me get this straight, you want me to leave everything for 5 months to help you prepare for your wedding to a Norse god?" I ask skeptically. My cousin Jane has been trying to convince me to be her maid of honor for over a half hour. I know she doesn't have many female friends but it's still rather odd since we rarely talk outside of family occasions.

"Yes,"she says obviously annoyed I keep asking the same thing.

"Okay fine,"I say eyeing her,"but you have to pay for my tuition when I get back,"I finish smirking hoping maybe I can out of this.

"Deal."She agrees quickly to my shock. I'm only a sophomore in college, but I guess becoming the next queen of Asgard is going to get her quite a large amount of money. After the battle of New York Thor asked her to marry him and of course she said yes. I don't understand how she could just leave her family and friends for one person, but I guess I just don't understand love.

"When do we leave for this 'Asgard'?" I ask trying to sound excited.

"Next Friday should be fine. I only came back to ask her and let my family know about the date so you need to be ready by six next Friday. I'm warning you now, the trip their is rather..."she pauses cringing slightly,"disconcerting the first time."

"Next week? I don't have time to get everything ready by then if I'm going to be gone for five months."I say rather frustrated at having to drop my life for her wedding.

"I know. I'm sorry, it's just that with all of the planning I need you there as soon as possible."

I can see in her eyes how much she truly cares for Thor so I try to be as understanding as I can be.

"Well, looks like I'm going to meet some gods!"I say trying to sound as cool as possible, which makes Jane smile a little.

This was going to be quite the adventure.

Hey, I've wanted to do a Loki story for a while but could never seem to get the motivation until now. I hope it turns out okay. I'll try to update whenever possible.
