Alice :||

I dried my long hair with a towel. Madeline agreed to taking me out to a club, and I couldn't wait. I smiled at my reflection in the mirror, "Looking good, Alice."

I brushed through my hair rather quickly, humming to myself. I was excited. I wanted to experience something new, maybe loose a bit of my innocence. Have a drink or two, smoke a cigarette, I don't know.

I left the bathroom, quickly threw on my purple dress, and went to find Madeline. "Do I look okay?" I asked.

"Sweetie," she began, "you're not going to get any guy in that dress. Come on, let me help you with that." I nodded, and allowed her to guide me to her room. I liked her room, it had this nice view, and her guitars were always arranged so the sun reflected off them. She sat me down on her bed and put her finger to her mouth, as if she were deep in thought.

Soon, her face lighted up, as she pulled a black dress out of her closet. She shoved it at me, and smiled. "Try it on." My big innocent eyes looked at her, then down at the dress. It was pretty short, about thigh length. And it looked pretty tight. It's back was open, and the neck line was pretty low.

"Are you sure I should wear this?" I asked shyly. Madeline nodded. I sighed, and went to my room to put the dress on. And I knew I could trust Madeline. She was smart. She did a lot of things, which meant she was experienced in the art of social engagement.

I let the purple dress fall from my slim frame, and studied the black dress before pulling it on. I sighed, and went back to find Madeline.

She smiled, "Much better. When your hair is a bit drier, we'll curl it. And you'll have red lipstick and red heels. You'll be gorgeous. You'll surely get someone tonight, Alice." she winked.

I smiled at my friend. "You think so?" I asked. Madeline smiled.

"Darling, I know so."

I smiled and hugged her, excited for the night to bring on our adventure.
