Chapter 16

Lacey's Pov

"Breathe, Lacey.....breathe." I whispered to myself as I waited for Matt by his locker.

Matthew was getting on my nerves already. Sure he was cute, but he wouldn't shut up about Padge, and his band, and his songs....seriously, less talking, more eating face!

Besides, all I really wanted to do was irritate Arial, and I knew I was doing super well at it. She was annoying, immature and stupid.

And I had the one thing she was dying to have. It was obvious she basically worshipped Matt, not that he'd ever get with her anyway. I smiled to myself, knowing Arial will die once she sees me with Matt at the party.

"Ready babe?" Matt asked snapping me out of my daze.

He kissed my cheek and I smiled at him.

"Ready."

Arial's Pov

I sighed, rolling onto my back and staring at the ceiling.

Padge would be home from school soon and I hadn't even gotten out of bed.

Not that I needed to.

I felt disgusting inside. Knowing that Matt was going to that chick's house was killing me. She was just probably using him anyway. Matt was probably using her as well, but that didn't bother me as much.

I whimpered, feeling a thousand times lazier as I heard Padge announce he was home.

I sighed and slowly walked to the bathroom to shower.

Once I finished my shower, I quickly got dressed. Not wanting to stand out, I threw on some skinny jeans and a hoodie.

I met Padge in the kitchen and frowned once he inspected my outfit.

"Arial love..." He said sighing. "I know that you're not feeling your best, but you've gotta put some effort into this ok? No dressing like you're gonna do chores or something like that. Oh and your friends will be here too, I invited them." He said smiling at me.

"Actually one of them should be here soon, the uh, hot blond one." He said stating the last three words somewhat fast. I narrowed at my eyes at him.

"Wait...you mean Natalie? You like Natalie??" I asked feeling a bit panicky.

He shrugged and pushed me towards the stairs.

"You should be changing, not asking me these questions." He said hurrying me up the stairs. I laughed and shook my head, returning to the bedroom to change into something decent.

After nearly emptying my drawers, I slid to the floor and sighed in frustration.

"She's upstairs." I heard Padge say, followed by some all too familiar giggles.

Not long after that, Nat appeared in the doorway with a huge grin on her face.

"Hey." She said sitting next to me on the soft gray carpet.

"You seem awfully giggly today." I said smiling and nudging her playfully.

She laughed it off and started inspecting the clothes that surrounded us.

"Padge asked me to help you out with your outfit." She said, her cheeks turning a light shade of pink.

"Are you blushing?" I teased

"C'mom Arial.....your brother is hot ok?" She said biting her lip. I scrunched my face and stuck my tongue out at her.

"Anyway, what's the deal with...you know...." She asked, continuing to scan through the mess on the floor.
