Scrape, Scrape, I softly ran my knife along the blue painted wall, the excess blood creating a small trail behind me. I make my way down the dark hall illuminated by the midnight moon, to the small room where the once breathing women lay a pool of blood puddled under her. Chess pieces scattered around her body in their proper places, the sight of her mangled rib cage filled with access pawns bringing a small smirk to my lips. I pull out the white note I had written only moments before and pin it to the wall above her lifeless body.
"The first player is down....the game has now begun....Enjoy~"
I step back admiring my work for a moment, letting out a small quiet chuckle "man...the cops are gonna have a ball this time...this is gonna be fun~". Taking one last glance at the scene I turn to leave, tugging down my hood to hide my mask. It's dark, black fabric tinted red from the woman's blood which was bound to happen in the first place. The mask wasn't like something most criminals would use it wasn't a ski mask and it most certainly was not some stupid clown mask no.... it was a slick black mask with black fabric covering the eyes. The lips were painted red with red swirls coming from the corner of the eyes....it was beautiful...in a this is the last thing your going to see kind of way.Once my mask and hood were in place I made my way out the back and crept below the wood fencing of the white symmetrical houses all a lined down the road as if copy and pasted in, creating great coverage. Once I knew I was clear from anyone's sight I headed to a small area which was surrounded with trees and bushes just off the highway hidden from prying eyes.
The fall weather was cold and brisk though not too much. The ground coated with fallen leaves and sticks made a soft crunching sound under each step I took and despite the darkness of the night the moon brought forth just enough light for me to see which I found very pleasant. I've always had a connection to the moon even when I was little there was just something about it that made me feel at home. The leaves were damp from the fall rain showers the scent of them blending with the strong metallic smell the women's blood gave off creating a scent was indescribable . I had scouted this clearing many times before it was literally the...perfect place to stay hidden. I walked over to a hollow oak tree I had found only hours before and pulled out a clean white hood and some clean jeans, I had planned this whole thing....inside and out...and I had planned on getting messy. Once I changed and proceeded to place my knifes, mask, and bloody cloths into the same tree so they wouldn't be seen if anyone decided
'hey i'm going to look in that random dark wooded area at night because that's smart'Though no one is that stupid....I hope anyways. Thanks to the clean cloths, I looked like any average teenage girl out for a late night stroll. Pulling my reddish hair into a small ponytail I make my way out of the clearing, by this time it was around...oh Id say 1:30 in the morning judging by the moons position. Since I was walking alone I had to watch my step, people notice when a 16 year old girl is wandering out this late...or early...or however you decide to say it. I'd been walking about ten minutes when the soft sound of sirens pierced my eardrums from a distance only moments later cop cars speed past me lights ablaze, I could feel a small smirk cross my lips a dark look in my eyes as I walked that way...back to the scene I had left only but an hour or so ago. By the time I made it there a crowd had already formed by the yellow 'Do Not Cross' tape...probably neighbors of the girl. I entered the crowd, blending in perfectly as I yawned and softly tapped an older women on the shoulder, rubbing my eyes as if I had been woken up by all the commotion "...whats going on?" I ask the, looking at the scene then back at the lady "The cops said the lady living there was killed tonight... how terrible, I had seen her a few times...she was so young..." the lady says quietly, sorrow evident in her voice, I nod my head to her in a respectful manner before turning my attention back to the home. After a short time of watching I noticed a tall man in a gray suit slowly leave the house he was holding an evidence bag and inside it....was a piece of paper ' hmm i wonder what that could be' I thought to myself smirking at my own sarcasm before quickly dulling out my face. Narrowing out my eyes I looked closer at the man, he was a younger guy....couldn't be any older then maybe....23 with bright blue shining eyes, he looked like the type of guy most girls would fawn over almost like a character in those cheesy romance novels. He eyed the crowd, the look in his eye was as if he expected to see someone covered in blood or holding a knife......yea right.....no one is that stupid....usually.
It was so hard holding back a smile and faking being worried for my life the look on the cops face was just...priceless.....distress, anger, stress, sorrow all swirling around in their expressions...just...wonderful. It wasn't long before the crowd had cleared, which meant I had to do the same....much to my dismay....but It was okay...for I had to plan the next players demise.....we will see if the cops can catch on....or.....if they will be too late to catch me....
I walked away...the smirk finding its way to my lips as my back turned to the cops....a low dark chuckle escaping my lips but to low for the cops to hear.....joy rushing through me....
The game had begun....
