When I woke up, I saw Max and Ford packing.

"Awake finally?" Ford asked somewhat annoyed. I sighed and started packing too, trusting that if Max was packing we needed to go. I grabbed my daggers and put them in my skinny jeans pockets before packing a couple pairs of clothes in my messenger bag and being ready before both boys. Ford was packing weapons and books in his dufflebag and Max began to pack a few clothes and some weapons and books that Ford couldn't fit in his bag.

"Here." Ford tossed a sheath at me and I put it on, placing my daggers side by side in the leather holder.

"Where are we going?" I asked, picking up my bag as well since they were both finished packing.

"Can't say while we're here. You'll see soon enough." Ford brushed me off. I looked to Max and he gave me a reassuring smile. Ford turned back to us.

"Listen, princess. Your boyfriend here trusts me on this. He even agreed to it so calm down. It's not like I'm going to kill you on our way there." I looked down to my Vans and began to follow the guys to the car, my face probably red from him saying that. I hated having anxiety.
We walked up to the black 2015 Dodge Challenger and I slipped in the back while Max took place next to me. Ford started the car, tossing his bag carelessly into the back on me. It must have weighed a ton. Sighing, I pushed the weapons to the floor and Ford took off. I didn't even bother putting on a seatbelt and neither did anyone else. It began to pour and I watched the large drops of water pound on the window and lay my head on the window sill. The rain, like a lullaby, soon put me in a sleepy mood so I closed my eyes but I couldn't fall asleep.
Max must have thought I was asleep and cuddled up next to me

"Is she asleep?" Ford asked.

"Yeah." Max replied. "You think she can stand against what's coming?"

"No doubt. I haven't seen anyone fight like that their first time in hundreds of years. She doesn't even need to train: her instincts will come naturally in battle." The tough guy said cryptically. Hundreds of years? Can't Lycan's only live for a few decades? As we crossed a bridge, a smooth and goddess-like voice came in range. Then a second along with it.

"Stop. You hear that?" I said, sitting up.

"Sirens. No need to worry; they won't be able to lure us because we are just as "mythical" as they are." Soon however, the car began to veer off of the bridge.

"Shit." Max mumbled under his breath. I followed his gaze to see that we had not been lured, rather the cars around us have and began to slowly roll us to the edge of the road bridge. The railings broke and at the last minute, Ford and Max jumped out of the windows. Max had hold of my wrist but the quick motion of the car falling made him lose his grip.

"Katrina!!" I heard Max's scream as I hit the water, still inside the black challenger. It began to sink as I heard something moving in the water. I heard the sound of water wooshing and saw shadows of tails dance in the now darkening watery tomb. Suddenly, figures with skeleton-like faces and green or blue bodies surrounded me. They smiled; revealing sharp teeth as gills frilled up on the side of their heads. Their tail's gave one last flick as the glass shattered and I was loosing air. However, instead of killing and devouring me, the two closest sirens helped me to the survace and quickly to the shore line.

"Wait.." I say as they turn to their pod. "Why did you help me?"

"Because you don't deserve to die." They replied in unison. Their eyes glowed in the sunset's dim lighting.

"Come with me. I k-know you're different than the rest. Please c-come with me. I won't let anything happen to you guys I p-promise." They smirked at me and I realized how stupid that must have sounded with my stutter. However, the two girls walked out of the water.
