The Blue Dragon: Book One

Chapter 2

Miska roared in sickness as the ship rocked her making her almost fall to the ground.

" Sit Miska. It will help." I said holding on to her fur myself.

William chuckled as he walked through the ship's members as they pulled ropes and cleaned the deck.

" Shell find her sea legs soon!" he said patting her.

I crossed my arms. " She's doing better than your invisible dragon!" I scoffed.

" I told you. Hes shy!" William looked into the air with his hand shielding his eyes.

He pointed a long index finger into the sky.

I followed it seeing only clouds as they slowly passed over.

I made a loud ' Pfft' and turned to walk to the wheel that controlled the ship.

" Oh com'on." William shouted into the sky behind me.

I giggled but kept my back to him, but soon heard the echo of his footsteps quicken behind mine until he was to my side.

" You'll see him one day." He nodded. " I promise."

I pressed my lips together and looked out to the blue and green waters. A girl popped her head up from the water.

" William! William look at that girl!" I screamed grabbing his shirt and shaking him.

He squinted then backed away.

" Thats no girl!"

He jumped from the top deck to the bottom screaming something like " Siren." I looked back at the girl in the water.

She waved her hand before jumping out of the water blissfully and whipping a long fish tail into the air, spinning and falling back into the sea.

I turned around to see the few crew members still on the deck trying to jump overboard!

I flew to catch one and pull him back up, he kept going though so I grabbed a rope and tied it sound his waist along with three other men and rapped it around the pole of the sail.

I could hear a high pitched noise almost like a dolphin screaming from the other side of the boat. I looked over at the same girl that was in the water on a rock. She was screaming I knew she was. Something in me wanted to go rip her head off, but then I saw William charging towards the railing like an idiot with a sword.

I grabbed him and pushed him back making him fall to the ground.

" Demons! I'll kill them all! They come and sing their songs make my men look like fools doing backflips for them! Get away from my crew she devil!" he screamed at the top of his longs waving his sword.

" He's immune to their songs?" Miska asked suspiciously.

" It would appear so. Their not really singing, just screaming."

" Peculiar.." Miska whispered staring at William as he bent over the railing waving his sword back at the screeching girls while screaming.

" Your lucky I can't turn this ship around or you'd all be dead!"

I rolled my eyes and placed my palm to my forehead sliding it down my face.

We may have gotten past these ' Sirens' but they wouldn't be the only danger we faced. I could feel a darkness and it was close!
