*Part one intro*
A young boy would sit all day. Doing nothing but follows orders. And be punished for little things here and there. No matter what he did, he was never happy. School never changed anything either. To him it was a new location in the prisons they call his life. And with all prison time. No single day is worth noting. But as time passed, time began to slow. Trying to tell him something. Wanting to tell him something important. He disregards the time that has wanted he attention. And proceeds to the everyday routine of his uneventful life... And the time stops trying. For now
The time passes faster again, and that's just the way the boy likes it. Although it's more like an agreement to not hate every waking moment of his confinement. And the time was only the endurance test. The task at hand, was the hard part. Not so much as doing them, because he has been doing them for a long time. It's not hard physically at least. No, it's not that. It's the part after. He made peace with the prison in his mind but in his heart he still wants happiness, love, compassion, forgiveness, care, understanding, respect, and acceptance. Deep down he knew he was not living in a prison. But it was the only way he could make his situation feel acceptable. And for a while it was, but every once in a while time slows, and he can help but notice. He looks with eyes full of pain, almost like a dead mans stare even.
The walking dead was accurate when it came to him. But even if his looks the part, the dead doesn't stare into the distance. Always Looking Forward. Never looking back at the past. Never looking down, wishing to be put to rest. Always looking forward. As odd as it was, he felt he had more life then anyone. He felt he had more strength too, and he never felt the need to prove it. I think that's one of the things that set him apart from the others...
And then time slows.
Once at school, he notices that time has slowed more then usual. The following event was more then worthy of noting. We shall call it the first event to freedom.
~Part two: happiness~
It was a while since school had started, and oddly enough that was when time stopped moving fast for him. He couldn't see why it was moving slow. To him real time was a sick game that time was playing on him. With that said, he never thought It was going to last. Nothing ever goes his way, he thought to himself. He also thought, and why should this.
Everyday at school was the worst thing he could think of. Everyday almost unbearable to stand. He could never pay any attention in class. He was busy day dreaming. Dreaming about true happiness, and thinking why he couldn't find it. It was his junior year at high school. He thought by now he would be having fun. At least a little. Instead he sits by himself and watched the others socialize, and have fun. He knew something was wrong. Time just make it worst, but that was not time's intentions at all. If he only knew, this journey would have ended quickly. And it would be not interesting enough to write about. He was clueless to what time was trying to do. He never noticed, but time only slowed when there was an opportunity to achieve what he really wanted in life. And time and time again. He, and time let it pass by. This time was different. Time seem to disregard his wishes. To give him something greater. Something he was not aware he was looking for, but he needed in his heart.
A month into the school year and he was already failing. The teacher noticed, and started pushing him to be better. Her efforts where pointless, because he didn't what anything to do with school. He falt like he was to behind to ever catch up, and his daydreams where far better then reality. So he hid his head in his folded arms that were resting on the desk. Letting no light in he closed his eyes. That only place he ever felt okay was in this cavern he made with his arms. He thought no one ever noticed him when he was like this. Sometimes the teacher did, but today was not one of those days. Instead one of his classmates was starring at him with there head resting on there folded arms facing him. He never noticed. Probably to busy with his eyes closed, inside his la la land. The person never seeked his attention. Not once. But there was something about him that interested them.
A few days had pasted by, and he was still blissfully unaware someone had been watching him since school started. He was still there inside his cave of solitude. Going about his day as usual. The teacher was teaching as she always did. Seeing him thinking, he was sleeping. She walked to his desk, and hit it with a ruler. He slowly pulled his head up. Moving his hands to the side, but moving one back. He had notice writing on his desk. Covering the writing, he looked at his teacher. She then asked him asked him "who discovered evolution? We just talked about it." He was so clueless to what the answer was. His only option was to guess. He stood for the class, and spoke a name. " benjamin Frank...lin?" Right away the students were cheering of laughter. He felt clueless, because he was. Then made his way back to the safety of his arm cavern. Thinking how stupid he felt he
Remembering the writing on his desk. He moved his arm letting some light in, and stared at it. He stared for twenty seconds before his eyes adjusted to the lighting. It read "your just like me. I see you sitting alone, and I'm alone too. And I would like to hang out somtime. If you would care to. I'll be in the library at lunch." he wiped it clean, and thought that it seemed kinda odd to him. There was no name. He felt no emotion in it. So his mind started to wonder. Who would want to prank him. It mush be someone who hated him, because it's seemed sick to lead him somewhere like that, and laugh at him. He also thought what if this guy is really like him. Could they really be someone like him? Both seemed far fetched.
Lunch came after a long class peirod. He never eats lunch so he sat where he always did, and tried to make up his mind. He then came to the conclusion that nothing they do to him can be worst then time abandoning him. So he made his way to the steps. He walked in and there was no one flagging him down. Not even a stare or a glance. So he turned around and headed for the door. As he approached it, a girls rushed through. Holding her lunch. She Stoped rushing when she saw him. She quickly stared at her lunch and said,"hi" in a soft voice. He was shocked it was not a boy. He also wasn't sure if her hair was dyed black or was black. He then glanced at the rest of her. She was wearing a black system of the down t-shirt, black pair of cut up jeans, and riped and worn down red vans. He thought to himself that she seemed nothing like him. After a few seconds of silents he then said hi back. She then started talking. And he listened still suprised at the female that was talking to him. He told her " how are you like me? You know nothing about me." she replyed with" I know your alone here just like me" and gave a pretty little smile. He stared at her, with his mouth partly open. As if he was thinking about what to say. She then took him to a table in the library and started telling him about herself. Then something came to his mind. She was very good at talking to him. Not shy at all. He then asked her. "Why don't you have friends?" she then said " well I did, but when I moved I losted them and I didn't get there numbers before I left. No on here seems to like me, do you?" She said in a softer tone of voice. "I'm not sure yet maybe in time" and gave a little smile, not showing his teeth. They talk some more and he started to participate in the conversation as well. Very little, but he still was. She then told him to met her at the parking lot of the French store on 5th street at 5 as the bell rang. They went to there next class and didn't see each other again at school that day.
