Hakyeon loves his best friend, really he does but sometimes he'd like if he calmed down on his caffeine intake
Like right now as he stands behind the counter of the small café he works at, listening to Jaewhan chat his ear off about his latest crush
"And he's like really cute OH and did I tell you... He raps!" Jaehwan rambles, looking rather love struck
"Yes, you did tell me. Three times now" he grunts, eyeing Jaehwan's fifth cup of coffee
"Yeah but it's so good, you should hear it sometime. An-" he places a finger on Jaehwan's lips, effectively silencing the hyper boy
"I think you should calm down with the coffee, don't you" he makes a move for the cup only for it to be held from his reach
"You lanky little shi-"
"If you two were actually paying attention for once you'd see that you have customers" a sharp voice snaps, tinged with a hint of annoyance. Cutting of any chance of delivering an insult
They turn in their shell shocked states to face the voice of their neatly dressed boss, who looks anything but pleased with their antics
"Yes sir" they both bow
"Good boys" their boss suddenly grins "I'm going on an errand, I trust my café will be intact when I get back?" He raises an eyebrow in question
"As long as I keep Jaehwan away from anything flammable we should be fine" Hakyeon grins ignoring Jaehwan's yell of protest
"Please do, I don't want a reenactment of the last time"
"It was one time!" Jaehwan yells once again only to fall on deaf ears as their boss saunters out the shop leaving the two boys to their work
"Jaebum can be pretty scary sometimes, huh?" Hakyeon is startled for a second, almost spilling his customers americano
"Jackson!, Would you stop doing that!" He glares, handing over the hot beverage -to a very unimpressed looking young woman- with a smile before returning to scowling at the young Hong Kong native
Jackson's hyena like laugh booms across the café as he claps him on the back
"Jackson stop being an idiot and help me" a new voice startles him again, clutching his chest he turns to face an annoyed looking mark
"I was just talking" the brunette shrugs
"You do too much talking" Mark tuts, his shaking head
"But-Markiepoo"
"No buts. Wang, back to work" Mark glares threateningly
"You just want to suck the joy out of everything" Jackson mutters, sulking all the way to his station
"I swear he'll be the death of me" mark groans, rubbing his face
"Yeah, I feel you there" Hakyeon nods, eye twitching violently as he watches Jaehwan prepare himself yet another cup of coffee "he's not normal" he sighs
"At least you don't have to deal with him" mark points over to Jackson who had somehow managed to spill soup over a now very angry business man
"Yeah I guess I got it easy" he grins wearily
"I better go help him before he gets himself into more trouble" Mark leaves without another word leaving him to wrestle the cappachino from his best friend

It's 10 minutes after closing time when he's cornered by a very hyper Jaehwan"Hakyeon!, guess what?!" Jaehwan all but screeches
"I don't know but I guess you're going to tell me anyway, right?" He raises his eyebrows
"Right!. Well anyway, you know Wonshik the-"
""cute" waiter who also raps, that you obviously have a huge crush on?" He finishes for him, using quotation marks around the word cute
"Yeah him!, well he's invited me to go clubbing with him" Jaehwan practically squeals
"And?" He sighs already knowing where this is going
"And he's bringing a friend so I thought maybe you'd come with me, you know for emotional support" Jaehwan grins
"You mean incase you start to freak out and faint?" He smirks causing the younger to blush a deep crimson
"It was one time" Jaehwan whispers staring at his feet "please, can you just come?" He pouts, widening his eyes in what he believes is the worst -and somewhat creepiest- attempt at aegyo
"Alright, I'll come just stop with the pathetic attempt at being cute" he grumbles "now help me tidy this place up" he demands, removing the table cloths as Jackson and Mark clear the dishes away, taking them to the kitchen for Kyungsoo to clean
"Is it just me or does this place seem to have gotten a lot busier since that coffee shop opened up next door" Mark comments as he helps Hakyeon wipe down the counters leaving Jackson to do the tables
"Yeah I've noticed that too, it's not like I'm complaining I mean it has helped our café get more attention" Hakyeon shrugs
"Yeah I suppose you could look at it that way" Mark agrees thoughtfully
"well that's us done for tonight, see you guys around" he waves them off heading out into the night with Jackson by his side
"They totally have a thing for each other" Jaehwan grins
"Obviously" he rolls his eyes
He'd watched the two boys dance around each other for many years now, wondering when one of them will finally confess"Thank god tomorrow is Friday, I can't wait for the weekend" Jaehwan cries in joy
"I know, I feel like I've been neglecting my bed" he huffs, slipping on his jacket
"Bye D.O!" He calls to their chef
"Don't call me that" the culinary specialist glares but lifts his hand to wave goodbye
"Ray of sunshine that one" he laughs holding the door open for Jaehwan
"So you're definitely up for coming tomorrow?" Jaehwan asks again, sounding unsure
"Yes I'll come now go home, get some rest and for the love of god no more coffee" he points an accusing finger at him before turning to leave
Clubbing isn't really his thing but for his best friend he's sure he can put up with a headache to see him happy
