Forest Escape

Part 1~hollow way

I've been with Grammy my whole life. I never knew my mom..... She ran as fast as she could away from this family for some unexplained reason and my dad was murdered. Or at least that is what my Grammy told me... I've never been able to trust anyone. Not even my Grammy. I also with my little brother Ruth. He's a little obnoxious and a bit annoying but I have to live with him anyway.

I was on my way to the corner store with a small grocery list and ten dollars all wrinkled up in my pockets. My Grammy sent to the store. I always end up getting something for my self but not today. I'be decided to save it since we don't have much for any of ourselves. We have always been on a budget since my dad. Once I have reached the old rigid store I went to the dairy isle. To get what it said " milk" on the tiny note. Before I had reached the milk the Tv was on saying"breaking news, 20 men have escaped the grain county jail and everyone must be on secure lockdown!!" Once I saw that I would've never believed it until the cashier had spoken to me in a spooked tone, " you better get home now." I wouldn't want to believe that, but I also didn't want to take any chances to take my life and become a prisoner from a previous but escaped prisoner! But then again it was all in my imagination. So once I had retrieved this news, I went home as quick as my short legs could. My Grammy and brother had no clue as to what I was talking about. We didn't own any kind of technological device. Our home was technology free, which meant I had to read a lot. I really didn't go to school so I pretty much have no life. With the news on my mind, i had no idea but to think of the guy that murdered my dad had gotten out. I had wondered if he remembered who I was and and where my dad used to live. One thing that I did know is he wouldn't know where to go after the 2008 5.0 earthquake through Hollow Grounds forest.
