As was routine, I tried to forget about what had just taken place.

“Hayley, what are you looking at? What’s wrong?” Bree had said, snapping me out of my trance.

Now we were all headed to dorm number thirty four for a horror movie night, in which I was evidently not in the mood for, but I plastered a smile on my face anyway, which seemed routine as well.

Ever knocked on the door and a smiling, sparkly eyed Harley answered.

“We brought popcorn” smiled Bree.

Harley ushered us in.

“Good to see everyone came” he spoke to me.

“Yeah” I answered bluntly.

He didn’t seem to notice anything different about me yet.

So we all settled down here and there as everyone introduced themselves, mainly to me because they all seemed to know each other from one class or another.

“Guys, this is Hayley, the newbie.” Ever boldly announced. I blushed and shot her a sarcastic look that said nice.

“This is Skye” Harley pointed to a breezy blue eyed, naturally bleach-blonde girl. The fair haired answered back with a ‘hey’. She seemed easy going enough.

“That’s Chase” he motioned to a tall brunette boy of fair build.

“Nice to meet you” he answered.

“That’s Eric” he then motioned to the bright eyed boy who had his arm around Skye.

Then he pointed out the last two guys “And that’s James” the tanned surfy guy waved, “And that’s Josh” the long haired, dressed in all black, rock’n’roll looking guy smiled.

“And this is the gang” he finished.

I couldn’t tell if they were human or faerie. I think they were mostly human, except for maybe Josh and Eric…

“So now everyone knows everyone, let’s hurry up and chose a movie!” hurried the guy named Chase.

Everyone scuffled about what movie to watch, and what movie was scariest.

Bree sat next to the Josh guy talking happily, while Ever and Chase fought between two films. Rayne was debating with James, by the sounds of it; it was a heated argument of comedies verses horrors. It was a short lived clash, in the end James agreed that comedies won. Eric and Skye, the happy couple of this little gathering, were curled up on a bean bag in their own little world of togetherness. Everyone had someone. It seems that I had Harley.

And as much as I think I liked that, I also had other people on my mind tonight. Well… more like other person I should more likely say. I was yet to find a name to that face.

“So, what do you think of Avalon after that?” he asked, sparking conversation.

“It’s lovely, definitely something very different… and full of surprises” I tacked on.

We muttered some more polite, light-hearted conversation until Harley said “What’s wrong Hayley? You seem a bit out of it, maybe a bit off?” he wondered aloud.

I quickly put together some nonsense mumbling “Yeah, I have a bit of a headache, don’t worry.”

They finally decided on a movie and we put that on, though I didn’t really pay much attention to the start, didn’t even know what movie we were supposed to be watching. I was too busy trying to piece everything together in the confines of my mind.
