Can't Sleep

Part 1

You're awake as soon as the door opens, the shift in your room making you extremely uncomfortable. You can't really see what is at the door but you can hear footsteps walk to the other side of the bed where Karamatsu is still sleeping soundly. You barely register the voice when you hear it but easily identify it when it repeats itself.

"Karamatsu-niisan?"

The voice is just a whisper but you know its Todo. He must have had a nightmare. You sit up and carefully lean over Karamatsu to look at the toddler. "Totty what's wrong?"

He takes a minute to scamper to your side of the bed and you lift the covers for him to crawl in next to you. "I had a nightmare."

You nod and settle back down under the covers where he immediately makes himself comfortable against your chest. His little fists grab handfuls of your tanktop. "Do you wanna tell me about it?" he shakes his head against your chest and yawns. "Go to sleep Todomatsu." You kiss the top of his head and close your eyes. Just before you fall asleep you feel a soft kiss on your lips and a whispered "I love you."
