His eyes. His smile. His laugh. All so amazing I think while laying in my bed staring at my ceiling. The he I'm talking about is Jake Walker. My mom's best friends son. I have known him forever. Since diaper days. I sigh. Man those were the days weren't they? I get to see him tomorrow. We haven't seen each other in over a year seeing that he goes to this boarding school on the other side of the country. Just because he's gone doesn't mean we don't talk everyday. Yes, we have kept in touch or else I don't think I would feel for him the way I do. I turn my head to look at the clock, 1:42 it read. I should really get to sleep. I think about Jake again and soon start to drift of into La-la land. MY favorite place in the whole world. Man I wish I could control my dreams. I mean don't you?
The next thing I know I see brightness from under my eyelids. I sit up. I get to see Jake today! I get in the shower and let the water loosen my muscles. I get out and look at myself in the mirror. I'm about 5'4 with medium brown hair and dark brown eyes. My name is Melanie Simpson. I've been told I'm pretty from my friends and a handful of guys yet I've never had a boyfriend. My first kiss was to my friend Drew in a game of truth or dare. He started liking me after that but I showed no return.
"Melliee? Are you almost ready?" My mom yells from downstairs.
"Yeah I'll be right down!" I tell her.
Just then the doorbell rang. Oh fiddlesticks! [hehe I like that word. (;)]
I threw on an outfit did my make-up and raced downstairs. I got downstairs but no one was in the living room. Just then I heard talking in the kitchen. Being me I decided to listen in to there conversation.
"Where's Melliee?" I heard a sexy voice ask. I felt shivers go down my back.
I swing open the kitchen door. "Immmm hereeeeeee!." I announce while laughing.
My mom laughs and says. "Yeah Melliee always thinks she's the life of the party and quote "is amazing and everyone wishes they were amazing as her."
I started laughing at Jake's expression. "She was kidding! I do not act that way on purpose just as a joke!"
He smiles. A freaking gorgeous smile at that makes my heart skip a beat. He's to good to be true!
