As the hero looked at the girl a grim feeling swept over him. He knew even though she was so close, he couldn't reach her. No matter what he said. The multicoloured wall that she put up was impenetrable by words. He tried both friendly and forcefully. Nothing seemed to be getting through. He felt hopeless, useless and eventually his own wall started to build up. The cold wind blew through the air. It chilled him to the bone but he already felt dead inside so it didn't matter to him. The girl had isolated herself from the world. She wouldn't eat, she wouldn't drink, she wouldn't sleep. All she would do is curl up in a little ball and sob to herself. In her castle of solitude. Then as the dark cloud arrived and the mind filled up with darkness and emptiness something happened. Smash. The heroes wall smashed into millions of beautiful shards. The hero looked up. And there it was. A strange man he had never seen before was looking down on him. The man was dressed in a white rob and cloth. He held out his hand. The hero at first hesitated but then took the mans hand and he stood up. As he stood emotions flooded through him like a river. Happiness had returned. Along with joy, hope and belief. He looked down at himself hardly believing what was going on. He then looked up to thank the man but he was gone and all that was left was a wisp of smoke where he had been standing. The hero then knew what to do. He walked over to the girls wall and closed his eyes. He then opened them again and the whole background disappeared in his eyes. It was just him and the girl. He clenched his fists tightly and started banging against the wall. The girl had shown no sign of reply. Perhaps she had not heard him. Perhaps.
He continued banging and then started to punch the wall. He punched and punched until his knuckles went pink and red with pain. It didn't matter to him. All he wanted to do was destroy the wall. He was determined. His arms felt like they were on fire. They burned and he threw his final punch before giving up and then. Smash! The Great Wall shattered at his feet before him. This got the girls attention. She looked up. With the tears in her eyes she looked back down into her knees as she was curled up and a buzz went off in the air. Then a new wall appeared. The hero thought about this. He then realised if it's the mind that is in control then you must control then mind! He imagined two swords. One in each hand. Then sure enough, the two swords he had imagined appeared right there with the handles in the palms of his hands. He gripped the swords tightly, gave a yell and began to bash against the wall. Slash left, slash right, slash both horizontally. Then in an X. And back again. Then parralell. Again. Stab the left sword right through the barrier and strike with the right. Smash once more the wall shattered into a million. Then after the hero caught his breath he said something. " no matter how long I must fight, I will continue to fight until the day, where I can feel your affection again"! This time no barrier was raised and the beautiful girl finally gave in. The hero dropped both his swords and walked over and sat down next to the girl. He hugged her tightly but said nothing. The girl then leaned on him and her shattered heart began to finally heal. They both sat there in silence. A blissful silence. The moral of this story is if you have a barrier then knock it down. This story is fictional. A real hero will not
