My name is Kura. Kura Walker.
I am, as you've probably guessed, related to the famous Allen Walker. He is my brother. Older brother, as he often likes to rub in.
Though true that niichan was abandoned, I am still his sister in every right. I was also picked up by Mana, right before he died. Allen had brought Mana back as an Akuma, we both did actually. Mana place a curse on us both. Allen got a left eye that could sense Akuma. I did not. My left eye sees the souls of Akuma, but it skips over the Akuma disguised as humans. My right eye works fine. Still not as cool as nii-chan's thouh.
Like Allen, I had innocence too. My innocence was a parasite type. I have no idea what it does, nor do I know what it looks like. Allen did exorcist Mana, but I was there too. My innocence did not activate. When I first met Allen, he had aburn hair. I did too, and I still do. But Allen's hair changed to silver on that night. I think it's because of activating his innocence. I'm sure mine will too.
When Cross came Allen stayed quiet for a long time. A really long time. I watched Cross take care of Allen. The old lady and Cross often talked about things I didn't understand, something about the 14th. For 5 years Allen and I trained under Cross. Allen was treated worse than me. Cross said that since Allen is a man, Allen should make money like a man should. I remember once seeing Allen come home beaten really badly. He hung up his coat, walked into the room, and went to sleep just like that. Allen had been missing for 3 days. I always worried about him.
One day while we were in India, Cross called for Allen. I watched from the window as Cross explained to Allen that he would now be an exorcist, and was to leave for the head quarters. Cross said he had already mailed a letter in, and that a man named Koumai should have received it. Cross picked up a hammer, and hit Allen over the head with it. Allen fell down and looked soundly asleep. Cross grabbed me and ran. We were not going with him.
I knew I couldn't go. I had yet to activate my innocence. The only reason I knew I was a parasite type was because I was told by Cross, that was also the only reason he kept me with him. I wasn't born a parasite type. I had picked it up somewhere when I was little. Cross always said I probably just ate it. I was sure if I did even try that, I would've thrown up. Do you know how big innocence actually is? It takes up the space of a grown man's hand. But I don't know how the innocence came to be mine, or how it attached to me. It was like Allen's, implanted into my skin, only it hadn't always been. I was abandoned after having gotten the innocence. The innocence, unlike Allen, was located on my left shoulder. Forming the same cross Allen's did.
Cross continued to train me for 3 months before he gave up. No matter what we did, how many dangerous situations he put me in, or how many lives were put at stake, my innocence would not activate. He trained me lots of different ways. He always said, "Since the innocence will not activate, we will have to take a different approach." Apparently that meant, lots of flexibility training. And strength workouts. Hand-eye coordination every once and a while. Sometimes, though he would teach me to think outside the box. He always gave up on that one though. Something about me being too hard headed.
Finally, it was my turn to be sent to the Black Order. I was scared that Cross might just hit me on the head with a hammer like he did with Allen. I was thankful when I found I was wrong. Cross told me he had sent another letter to Komui. He gave me a small golem. "His name is Tom Campy (that's right. deal with it, it's name is Tom Campy, I've decided it's related to Tim Campy, it's his brother. Deal with it). Take good care of him." Cross said as he left the room. I was thrilled to find I hadn't been knocked out. Not too long after thinking that I heard Ava Maria. I passed out from Cross's innocence. I was stupid to think that he would let me know where he was heading. I fell asleep.
When I woke up, it was early morning. I packed my bags and headed to the Black Order. I took a train to get there, and a boat or two. I lost track since I slept so much. I finally got off the train to stretch my legs when I realized, I was already here. I looked up a tall cliff and saw a building on the very top. If they were expecting me to climb up that cliff, there was no way I was joining. That was not happening. I looked around at the base and saw a small opening that looked like a cave entrance. I walked over to see that it was a cave, with light in it too. "This must be the entrance." I thought. I walked down the path. At the end was a door. I opened it and it led to a well lit room with an elevator. I climbed in and put my stuff down. There were over 100 floors! Why the crap were there so many? I push the button labeled '1' and rode off.
The doors opened and I saw myself at a large gate. I wondered around. I found myself at the edge of a cliff. I looked down to see the spot I once stood at. Good, I was in the right place. I walked to the gate. It was a rather peculiar gate, it had the face of a man on it. I walked up to face and stared. It suddenly opened its huge mouth, "Who goes there?"
Startled I jumped back. "Uh, Hi. I'm Kura. I was sent by Cross. This is the Black Order right?"
The statue man gave me a grunt as an answer. I assumed it was a yes. "I will now scan you to judge whether you are a person or an Akuma."
I snickered, "what Akuma would just waltz up to the Black Order gate and request entrance?"
"You never know." Was the only thing he said before he started scanning me. All of a sudden his eyes landed on the star on my cheek (check picture). Sirens went off, I yelped. That gave me quite a fright. The statue man started yelling, "Akuma! Akuma!" I was startled. Did he not hear my earlier comment on what stupid Akuma would walk right up here? A man jumped down from a window.
"Blasted Akuma," was all he said before he started trying to take off my head. He had dark blue hair in a ponytail, he was so pretty he could have been a girl, but the angry look he had, totally ruined the illusion. He raised his sword and brought it down. I managed to dodge, but just barely. I yelped as he sliced my arm. MY ARM! I can't deal with pain well, if that wasn't obvious to all watching right then. I started almost crying. Almost being the key word here.
I ran to the gatekeeper, "you gotta help me!" I said. "Cross said he sent a letter!" I was dodging the onslaught from the man while trying to talk. "He said it was sent to some guy named Komui!"
The gatekeeper raised a stone eyebrow. "Where have I heard that one before." I looked to him hopefully. I bet this is what Allen had to go through. "How do you explain the star on your cheek?" I touched my cheek, and was reminded of the horrors of bringing back someone.
I opened my mouth, and tears ran down my face, "I-" I started, "It's a curse."
The attack stopped and I heard a "che." come out of the man. He put away his sword. "You're like Bean Sprout then." He took my wrist and ordered the gatekeeper to open up. The gates opened and I was dragged inside.
I was dragged up many stairs and through many halls. I was led through A large door. There were lots of people sitting around this screen thing, I looked at it and saw that it was the front gate. "Hey! If you could see then why was I stuck running from this guy?" I pointed at the man who brought me here. He dropped my wrist with a "Che." being is only answer.
A man who also had dark blue hair came up to me. "Hello! My name is Komui!" I punched him in the gut. He staggered back, but quickly recovered. "I guess I deserved that. I found the letter you talked about. You must be Kura Walker." The peeps on the couch sat up and stared. One had brown hair and circle glasses had the happiest look on his face. He ran up to me and gave me a hug. I was pretty shocked.
"You're related to Allen?" He beamed happiness. I nodded. "Welcome to the Black Order! I'm Jonny. Sorry about the bad welcoming. It's almost exactly what happened to Allen. That was Kanda by the way."
I looked back but Kanda was gone. Komui came up and pried Johnny from my hand. "I have a little sister named Lenalee, She's about your age. I'm sure you'll get along fine. Now, to Hevlaska."
