You

The definition of a friend
Someone who you can rely on when things get rough
Someone who will be there when you call
Someone who cares about you
Because your their friend as well...

But that wasn't what you were

You were a conniving little thief in your own way
Stealing my words and crushing the with fabrications
Calling me things I'll never repeat out loud

And nobody would do anything to stop you

It wasn't that they didn't want to
Or that they just couldn't.
It's because you made them feel like it was wrong
Right after you backstab them in front of their own faces
As if you though they wouldn't be startled

You were right though.

They always came back to you
Like little fragments of metal and a magnet
You were what "kept them together" in the most unhealthy definitions of those words
You were the one everyone loved
Because you could do no wrong
As you slowly rip apart my arms
And crush my bones
And destroy my self esteem like its a sand castle you can kick
As you glare angrily at me with those hateful eyes
As you tear me apart with words of hatred
As you dehumanise me
Because if I don't seem human
It's easier for you to kick and bite and cut me down
It's so offensive to you for me to feel emotions
It's so offensive to you for me to be independent

I hate myself because of you
