"What are you doing?"

I look around the corner. "Playing."

I see him walk to his locker. My lips curl up before I quickly run down the hall.

"ASHY!!" I yell jumping on his back.

"I've missed you so much!" I give him a kiss on his cheek.

"Hey Emma." He smiles. I climb off his back and we stand face to face.

"Ashton. You've been in London for the entire summer and all you have to say is Hey Emma" I say the last part in my manliest man voice.

"Ok. Em, just calm your rambling. I've missed you so much," he says. "I love you Emma. You know that right? You are the greatest friend I could ever have."

"I love you too Ash."

"ASHTON."
And here she comes.

"Hey 'rands," he says as the girl I've come to dislike comes closer and closer.

"Really. You've been gone for so long and that's all you have to say?" She says in annoyance.

I roll my eyes. He pulls her in for a hug and they give each other a quick kiss.

"Babe I've missed you so much. This small town was hell without you."

I shift uncomfortably as my eyes wander away from the lovely couple. Until they land on Steven. He sends me a sympathetic smile and shuts his locker. I say my goodbyes and walk over to him.

"Hey," I smile at him. He smiles and we both start walking to my locker.

"How are you?" He asks.

"I'm fine." Lies.

"No you're not. Em, why haven't you told him?" He asks.

"There's nothing to tell." Lies again.
What the heck Emma? Are you trying to lose all your friends?

We stop in front of my locker, and I start putting in my combination.
