I chose my primary weapon, the silver-tipped fire poker. I didn't know it at the time, but the tip of the fire poker I used to kill the ghost had been dipped in silver some time in the past. this could prove the theory that this wasn't the first plague of ghosts, or it could've just been the work of some stuffy baron who loved the shiny metal.
Two months after my encounter with the black knight, I left my aunt and uncle's and registered myself with the International League of Ghost Hunters as an apprentice. It would take a while to get me assigned to a master, so in the meantime, I was given a room in the League headquarters and mostly allowed to do what I wanted. I made friends with another apprentice of my year, David Strong, and we and six other apprentices, Christopher Ronaldo, Brian Long, Simon Smith, Leonardo Blan, Xavier Benson, and Andy Wrigley, decided to go to David's lake house on Loch Lorien. The only thing was, Loch Lorien had a problem. A ghost problem...
