She pulled the blanket up over her head and tried to drown out the yelling. The fight had lasted an hour already and she just wished it would stop. Her stepdad had went to the local bar again and drank one too many shots. As she listened to the crying and yelling from the depressed man, an anger boiled up inside her. Her stepfather Bill had been upset recently because of his son Edward. Ed had already been drinking and smoking weed for a long time now but the news about his more recent "experiments" we're just too much for Bill to handle. Isabelle couldn't contain her rage. She just wanted to burst into Edward's room and yell at him to comfort his father. To stop killing himself with the drugs and alcohol and hopefully in turn stop Bill from suicide too.
After awhile Isabelle got tired of trying to ignore them and put in headphones. The song Angels Fall by Breaking Benjamin soothed her mind. She couldn't understand how everything had gone so wrong.
