All it takes is a moment for your life to flash before your eyes, when every memory of yours comes at you like a bullet train. One wrong decision and you can lose it all. One wrong move can change your life forever.

That's what happened on 22nd July. One wrong move changed my life forever.

If only I wasn't too stubborn to refuse my friend's offer of a ride and walk home from a party where I was humiliated infront of my crush. If only I took the shortcut home instead of wandering on the streets, to blow off some steam as I'd told myself.
If only I wasn't too preoccupied with my thoughts. If only I could hear the screeching of the tires. If only I could move...

If only.

Then I wouldn't be here, lying on a small bed in a bright white room, with absolutely no recollection of my actions after the crash. I had no idea about where I was or how and when did I reach this place.

After taking a look around, I noticed a door in front of me, it was as white as the walls, and one would've certainly missed it if they didn't look at it closely. The small white wooden bed that I lay on was the only furniture in the room.

Standing up I noticed that I was dressed in the same clothes I wore to the party, a baby pink dress with a brown belt, at least that brought some colour to the room.

I walked towards the door and out of habit scanned the room once more to see if I've missed anything. With one hand on the door handle I sighed, trying to calm myself. A cool breeze hit me as soon as I opened the door, though I noticed that there were no windows in sight. The door led me through a long hallway, at the end of which was another door.

This time I decided to knock first.

"Come in Aria" a melodious voice answered from behind the door. So whoever was behind the door knew my name. Interesting. Or creepy?

I gulped as I pushed the door open. A strong scent of sandalwood and flowers filled the air as I stepped into the room. It smelled divine. Closing my eyes and taking in a deep breath I walked further into the room.

A hearty chuckle interrupted my moment and I quickly fluttered my eyes open.

In front of me stood a tall figure with a sense of authority around him. His almost inhuman eyes caught my attention immediately, they were crinkled a bit at the corners because he was smiling, but he still managed to give me the chills. He looked old but at the same time, ageless.

He was covered in white from head to toe but had a red satin tied across his chest. This room was fully white too. I looked around confused as to why I was here, and where was I exactly? Though now my mind had definitely come up with some possibilities.

"Welcome Aria" He said when our eyes met again, then he raised both of his arms and gestured around "Welcome to the afterlife."
