As a statue I stand,
Still, Calm, Quiet, and all together.
The World around me moves quite quickly,
but here I stand.
My thoughts known to no other,
my memories, for only myself.
The world has left me,
they move oh so quickly.
All are gone,
yet here I remain.
A statue, never changing,
losing everything in time.
Years pass and nothing I knew has stayed,
the city's fallen to the sea,
the trees have grown taller,
and those I'd loved have died.
