It was just another normal day out in Bloomington, Indiana. There were many cars driving on the busy roads. The sun was shining in a clear blue sky. And my brother an I were playing with the other neighborhood kids.

"Ha ha, Kenny! You're it!" Taylor shouted as she ran away. "No tag backs!"

We played and ran until the sun started to set and the sky started to turn pink.

"Bye, Ethan! Bye, Dove!" Sharry shouted as she walked away with her mommy back to her car.

Sharry's mommy put Sharry in her car seat, then shut the car door, and ran over to me and Ethan.

"Hey, sweeties." She said with a warm smile. "Did you need a ride home?"

"Um, no, Mrs. Sharry's Mom. We live right down the street. We can walk home." My brother answered.

"Did you need someone to walk with you?"

"No, we have each other." Ethan smiled and wrapped an arm around my shoulders.

"Okay then, but I suggest to that you kids go home now."

  "Yes, ma'am." I said.

Ethan and I stood in our same places, and watched the car pull away.

"I don't wanna go home now." I wined to my older brother.

  "Me either." He pouted.

  "Let's not! Let's go to Nick's house!"

"But Dove! Nick's house is like, lot's of blocks away!"

"Well, we'll only be there before your bedtime. I know you gots school tommorrow." I said making my eyes widen.

"W-well, okay." He looked unsure, but he grabbed my hand and walked with me anyway.

We were almost to Nick's house, when I noticed there were two guys following us.

I tugged on Ethan's hand. "Look." I whispered in his ear.

He stopped, turned around, and shouted, "Who are you?!"

The men said nothing, but kept walking towards us.

I cocked my head to the side. "Mabey they didn't hear you."

  "HELLOOOO!!!" Ethan screamed.

The two men started to run to us.

"What are they doing?" I knit my eybrows together.

  "Mabey they exercise." He shrugged.

  "You're probably right.

But as they neered us, my world began to change. Fast.

They tore my brother's hand from mine, then they ran. I chased after them, but my five-year-old legs couldn't carry me as fast as them. I soon lost sight of them . . . And Ethan.

I did manage to run the rest of the way to Nick's house though.

I came in, bawling my eyes out, and saying, "They took him!"

And that was the last night I saw my Ethan.
