Garroth leaned in closer. I stood, a million thoughts racing through my mind. Suddenly, I was falling, away from Garroth, away from Phoenix Drop, away from everything. The sensation came quick and left just as fast. Garroth's lips were warm against mine, and everything around me fell away. All I could see was Garroth.

The kiss didn't last for long, but it felt like an eternity. He pulled away. "(y/n), ever since the day we met, I was annoyed with you. But that was just me trying to hide my true feelings about you. You are the most beautiful, kind, and perfect woman I know. I think...I think I love you."

I stood there, shocked. What do you say in this kind of situation? Luckily, Levin saved me. He tugged at my skirt and dragged me over to Aphmau. "What was that?!" She said. "I-I don't exactly know..."

"Tell me all the details!" Donna said from behind Aphmau. "H-he kissed me...And then said he loved me." Aphmau looked a bit upset, but quickly hid it. Garroth and Laurance were arguing in the background, about something I couldn't hear.

Suddenly, Dante appeared. "Lord Aphmau. We're under attack."

Everyone jumped to their feet. I raced to my house and quickly changed into battle gear. My sword gleamed in the moonlight as I raced towards the gates. Aphmau joined me, sword in hand. "Are Levin and Malachi secured?" I asked. She nodded.

Fighting was already under way when we arrived. Dante was battling some dark souls, preventing them from getting through the gate. I raced to aid him. Multiple souls began to fall with the combined fighters. Many fell, but more were quick to join them.
