Chapter 4

"One more thing. Will you be my girlfriend?" Kaitlyn blushes so much and she can't stop smiling. "Yes..id love to". They hug one more time and she goes up to her door. "Want me to bring you to school tomorrow?" Alex shouts from the car. "Yeah sure. That'd be perfect". She waves and he drives off. She walks in side and her mom says "who was that boy?" "Oh nobody mum. Don't worry about it." "Kaitlyn, I don't want you to get hurt again. I don't want what happened in Arizona to happen again. I almost lost you!" "Mom don't worry, he's nobody. And that was because of bully's mum. Not boys.. Well..sweet boys". She goes upstairs and showers. Then she goes to bed. She woke up at 2:38 am because of a nightmare. She's starts crying. She doesn't know what to do. She tried to call Alex but he didn't pick up. "Of course he doesn't pick up. It's 2:30 in the morning. He's sleeping. What's wrong with me?" She thinks. She just goes back to sleep and then gets back up at 6:30 to get ready for school. She puts on dark jeans and a band shirt. She gets her backpack and continues to get ready. She walks outside and Alex pulls up. Kaitlyn gets into the car and buckles up. "Hey why'd you call me last night? I'm so sorry i was sleeping. Are you okay?" "Yeah I'm fine. Sorry I guess I just butt dialed you in my sleep.." "Okay. I thought something was wrong. I was worrying all morning." She just sits there and thinks for a bit. They drive off towards school. When they get there, she gets out of the car and so does he. They grab their bags and hold hands walking up to the corridor. People just look at Kaitlyn and Alex and just stare. She just keeps her head down and sometimes looks up, glimpsing at Alex. She's so happy. Alex lets go of her hand for a few seconds and walks over to his friends. He high fives them all and says his hi's. "Who's this? Some little fan girl" "what the fuck dude. No, this is my girlfriend Kaitlyn. She just moved here." "Oh sorry man. I was just kidding about that." "You better be. Anyways, this is Kaitlyn. She just moved here from Arizona." "Arizona??? What's that like? Do you know who of mice & men are?" "Arizonas just like everywhere else. Boring. And yes I know who of mice & men are. I'm not totally living under a rock!" She replies. "Haha sorry dude." Alex and Kaitlyn walk away and go to biology. "What was all that about???" Alex says. "What do you mean?"  "I mean you flirting with him". "I wasn't! I was just having a conversation!" "Sorry I'm super insecure. I gave up everything for my last girlfriend and she just left me. Just like that. Gone."  "I'm not leaving you. I'll always be here.." "Okay.." They walk into class quietly. Kaitlyn sits down and so does Alex. They start to get to work. After class, Alex says "hey wanna just skip the rest of the day? Class is getting super boring and annoying." "Yeah sure. Wanna go get something to eat?" "I've got a better idea!" Alex says. They just look at each other, get into Alex's car, and drive off.
