Hurt. Betrayed. Hatred.

That was what you felt when your best friend had left you after finding out you were pregnant with his baby. You were happy, excited, ready... but he was the exact opposite.

Kendall Schmidt--yes, Kendall Schmidt from the famous boy band Big Time Rush--was your big brother... your best friend... your baby's father. You had supported him much more when he had his television show and band. You'd made sure to still spend time with each other despite his busy schedule. But all that had changed after everything that had happened.

When you'd told him that you were having his baby, Kendall kept denying it, leading the two of you arguing over your pregnancy, saying that he wasn't in any part involved in it, that you were a liar, and you were so hurt.

One time, you were watching the television, Kendall being a father always the headline of the news. "After his latest landing back into the city after the tour show, we had the chance to get anything from Kendall Schmidt about what he had to say about all the controversies he's dealing with," the lady host said on the television.

You watched and listened intently, though it hurt you still to think how popularity had influenced Kendall badly to turn into someone you barely even knew anymore.

The screen flashed the latest interview of Kendall being overly surrounded by the paparazzi in the airport. "Kendall, is it true that you were only denying the fact that you fathered [y/n]'s baby?"

"No, that's not true." He wore dark shades, continously trying to make his way out of the airport. "I'm no kid's father. I've never fathered any kid, and I never will."

Tears streamed down your face. You had trusted Kendall with everything--including the most sacred thing you had with you, which you never thought of giving up on him--and you couldn't believe he'd do all of this to you.

You decided from then on; you were going to raise the baby on your own, and just like what Kendall did, you would never let him be a part of your child's life.

*A year later...*

You had given birth to a beautiful baby girl, and as you had planned, she was using your last name. Thought it pained you a little, her green eyes and smile reminded you everything of Kendall, all of the pain he had put you through, but that didn't mean the baby was something to feel regret about. She was a complete blessing and had helped you get through adversity. What a difference a year could make...

A soft knock came on your door. You stood up from the couch, with your babygirl in your arms, and answered it. You stood frozen, shocked.

There stood in front of you, was Kendall.

"[y/n]?" He said, his green eyes begging in front of you.

"K-Kendall?" You swallowed the lump that formed in your throat. You felt like bursting into tears, not knowing exactly what you should say or feel.

Kendall walked into the living room, and you, mindlessly, sat back down on the couch, watching his every move. You were reckless once, and you were never going to let that happen again. "Is she my baby?"

"Your baby?" You raised your brow furiously. "I thought you were no kid's father? What are you doing here, anyway?"

He sighed, sitting down next to you. "I was wrong, and I admit that." His gaze fell on the ground, his voice echoing around the room as he spoke. "Days turned to weeks, turned to months, and now a year... I realized that once there's a responsibility given to you, you can hide from it, but can never run away from it. What I did always haunted me and it hit my senses that turning my back on you means turning back on my baby."

It had already been a very long time though; maybe Kendall really meant what he said. Which made you a tiny bit of overwhelmed. You really did hope Kendall changed for the better.

"That's why I'm here, [y/n]," Kendall said, staring at you sadly. "to ask for your forgiveness. I'm so sorry. I hope it isn't too late." He gazed down at the sleeping baby in your arms. "And to you too, babygirl. I know daddy's been an awful person, but I hope you could forgive me. After all without me, you wouldn't be here... and without you, I wouldn't turn back to the person I was supposed to become into; your father."

You teared up at his words. Those weren't blatant lies coming out of his mouth, because he sounded so sincere and it looked like he really meant what he said. Tearing up as well, he grabbed your hand and looked into your eyes. "[y/n], what do you say?"

Once again, you and Kendall made the headlines of where all sorts of celebrity gossip could possibly be. But this time, they were all good news!

You had forgiven Kendall, and you had also let him be a part, not only of your daughter's life, but also in yours. You had reconciled and it was the perfect way to evolve the friendship you had once lost to a whole new level, as an official couple. And he was right; if it wasn't because of him, your daughter wouldn't be born in this world. After all, "blood is thicker than water."

Kendall posted two new photos on his Instagram account. The one was a picture of the two of you, all smiles while sharing a warm hug. The caption said, "Bonding with the love of my life:) #goodtimes #firstandlastlove #inspired"

And the other, a picture of babygirl safely enclosed in Kendall's gentle arms. The caption said, "I'm proud to say that I became a father. She was such a beautiful blessing, and makes me feel more inspired to live. Love you babygirl:)"

And as for you, you were proud to say that you had ended up with the best guy you ever knew in your whole life...
