Can I love the enemy? GXG

MISSION SKYLAR

I awoke. Feeling extremely tired. I looked at the clock to see it was 5.18 a.m. I was going to be late again. My boss, Alpha, was not going to be impressed. I rushed to the bathroom for a quick shower; in hopes it would refresh me. After my shower I grabbed a black blazer and trousers and got my white shirt. Now for the tricky part bow tie or tie? I decide on the slim black tie, as it looked more formal. I grabbed my phone and car keys and left. I ran down the white corridors to a glass elevator. Whilst I was in the elevator my phone started to ring. It was Alpha and I was supposed to be at work now.

"Hello boss" I said in a soft voice.

"Robin, where are you the mission brief is about to begin" he said in a stern but caring tone.

"I am sorry boss but I awoke late, I am not used to getting up this early" I said in a calm tone, whilst stepping out the elevator.

"Just get here in the next five minutes or you won't be in the mission. Robin you are one of my most valued agents, get here pronto." I smirked at what he just said.

"I will make it" I said as I put the phone down. To be honest, I had to be in the mission, I had only screwed up once at a mission and it almost cost me my job. But luckily for me Alpha decided to retrain me, into a better agent.

I ran out of the hotels doors towards my sleek black Ferrari; it was my most prized possession. I opened its door. When I was in TARS, my smart computer installed in the car, asked where I was heading.

"Just drive to headquarters, top speed TARS"

"Late again, Robin, I bet Alpha's not happy, especially with mission Skylar coming up" TARS said as he started the engine. Then the car sped of leaving a cloud of smoke behind.

I jumped out of the Ferrari and ran to headquarters doors. I placed my left thumb on the scanner. Immediately the doors opened and I ran to the briefing room. Alpha a tall American man with brown curly hair and green orbs for eye's greeted me.

"You took 5 minutes 13 seconds, you are lucky we waited" he said jokingly.

"Well I am worth the wait because I am one of your most valuable agent's" I said grinning uncontrollably. Then Alpha walked away to the front of the brief room to announce who is on the mission, I desperately hope it was me so I could rectify my mistake on the previous mission.

"Right now that Robin has finally arrived we can begin" everyone stared for a moment then looked back to Alpha. They were a few people murmuring about wanting to be in the mission but Alpha just stared at them until they silenced themselves. Alpha was good at silencing people

"Now I know everyone wants to be included in this mission but I have decided to send two people on this mission, as partners"

I couldn't believe he was sending two people. That is just outrageous, yet I could sense that there was more to this mission that Alpha hasn't told us. I really hoped I would be the one to carry out mission Skylar, it made sense as I had the perfect cover

Alpha's eye's glared across the room. It was deadly silent. "I am firstly sending lynx" He cut off his sentence as lynx stepped up next to him. "Secondly I am sending snake". He stood off the stage and gestured for lynx and snake to follow. He walked past me and to my surprise he slipped me a note.

I walked out the brief room to my office. I found it suspicious that he slipped me a note; he had never done that before. I opened it to find instructions.

Jade. Go to locker 514. Open it with the numbers 3883. Take the file. Read it in a secure place. Then burn it. Make sure you are not followed by anyone. ~ Alpha. He had used my real name so I knew this was serious.

After making sure nobody was outside my office, I swiftly exited the room, in search for the locker. I turned the corner and found locker 514. It looked as if someone had tried to break into it. I looked around to see no one there. I opened the locker to find the file. I slipped it in my backpack. Then I heard footsteps so I shut the locker door and ran.

I got top my office and took my phone and keys and walk calmly to TARS, not wanting to act suspicious. I scanned my finger on the scanner and left. I pressed my "find my car" button on the key and heard my Ferrari screech up the road towards me. TARS stopped right in front of me. I got in and sighed.

"What's wrong Robin" TARS said sounding slightly concerned. I knew I could trust TARS with anything. So I told him.

"So what should I do TARS" I said

"You should read the file, I suppose, and then burn it as he said. It sounds serious though from what you have said" TARS stated.

"Ok TARS drive to a field or something" and as I said that we sped off again.

I arrived at a deserted field. As I looked around I saw no signs of life so I grabbed the file. As I admired it I noticed it was a mission brief for mission Skylar. But why had he not announced it at mission brief. I was getting scared. Who did Alpha not trust? Why is nobody allowed to know I am doing mission Skylar? Questions started to rush through my head.

Just then I heard a noise. I felt like I wasn't alone. I decided to go. I walked to TARS when I realised I was being track. Someone had put a tracking device on the front of my car, but who.

"Jade it's me Alpha" thank god it was just him.

"Alpha what is this?" he looked at the file and realised I hadn't looked at it yet.

"Robin you need to read that file to continue with Skylar" I glanced at him.

I opened the file and read for a couple of minutes. I couldn't believe what I was reading. Alpha suspected someone was a mole in the agency and was giving information to the "rebels", a terrorist organisation trying to take over the world. Alpha wanted me to go undercover in rebel and gain their secrets.

"Alpha I can't do this you know how hard it was last time" he glared

"You have the perfect cover, the lover to the leader of the group Skylar" he said in a serious tone.

"I broke her heart" I said but truthfully I had fallen for Skylar just as much as she had. If I go back I will get those feelings for her again and I cannot have a relationship with the enemy. Can I?

"By the look on your face you also broke your heart" he said sympathetically.

He was right it did break me. The only reason I failed the last mission is because I fell in love with Skylar. I never really fell out of love with her. The only problem was she fell in love with my alias not me. I tear streamed down my face as I remember the times we had, especially the first time I saw her.

*FLASHBACK*

He blue eyes dazzled from across the room. Her brunette curls draped over her shoulders. Her face was pale white like soft snow. Her red dress was slim and showed her beautiful curves. She was walking down the stairs of a hotel lobby. She glanced at me and smile showing her luscious white teeth. She walked my way and winked I blushed slightly and offered to buy her a drink. She ordered a martini, classy. We talked about nonsense but we just clicked and there was immense chemistry between us.

It had been an hour since we met and I asked her if she would like to go out on a date sometime. Then she kissed me. Her tongue searched my mouth and I did the same. Then she pulled away.

"Sure you can pick me up tomorrow 8p.m. sharp, kitten"

"Fine by me princess "
