Nalu- Cinderella

    "Are you done yet?"

    "Almost. The floors have been polished, the laundry has been done, and the dishes are clean. I just have to feed the animals."

   "Well hurry up, and finish. When you're finished with that, start on my room. Your sisters and I will be going out for the day."

   "Yes, father."

(I know in the actual story, its a woman, but we're switchin it up.)

He scoffed, turned on his heel, and started walking away. With a sigh, I wiped my for head, grabbed the bucket of water, and moved downstairs to the barn.

   "Happy!"

The cat rubbed against my leg, purring loudly.

   "As always, good to see you too."

Walking past the cat, I pulled hay out of the corner, and placed it in front of the horses. Soon everything was done, and I headed back upstairs. When I opened the door, there stood father, my two sisters, and a man in formal attire with dark blue hair, red tattoo over his eye. Before I could hear anything being said, the two started  squealing and jumping in delight.

   "Oh, I can't wait!"

   "A grand ball! A grand ball! What a grand time this will be!"

Holding each others hands, they jumped and skipped about, not having a care in the world.

   "What's going on?"

Father looked at me, his expression seeming to harden.

   "King Igneel is holding a ball for Prince Natsu."

   "Every maiden in the kingdom is to attend."

My face brightened, I couldn't help but smile.

   "R-Really?!"

   "Really. Well, I should be off. We hope to see you later tonight."

Without another word, he turned on his heel, and left.

   "This'll be wonderful! Oh, I need a dress! And shoes, and maybe even some jew-"

   "Lucy."

Snapping out of my daydream, I turned to face the three glaring at me.
   "What makes you think you're going?"

   "Yea! They only want maidens, not maids!"

The two girls started laughing at their own joke, but father continued to stare me down.

   "What is it?"

   "You're only allowed to go on one condition."

   "Which is?"

   "You must get all your chores done by eight tonight. We will not wait for you. You also have to find your own dress, and look presentable."

   "Oh, I will! I promise!"

Smiling, I ran up the stairs, all the way into my room which was hidden away in the attic. Several cats sat on my bed.

   "Oh, you guys! Guess what!"
