He bumped into his ex-girlfriend. The girl he loved for years upon years. "Caleb", she said softly. It was the voice that sent thrills down his spine. He couldn't look her in the eyes. Not as yet. Not now. He would be in the same place he was before in that room in New York waiting on her arrival. He would fall back in love with her and her strawberry scented blonde hair. A diamond caught his eyes, her engagement ring was sparkling ever so brightly and he couldn't help but force a smile. "Hanna!", a girl shouted from across the street.
"Spencer!", she replied. He stared at Spencer in her short black business-like dress. Her sense of style was always so mature. They have been hanging out together for 3 years, if it's one person he's comfortable with.. it would be her. She brought ease to his troubled mind. The thought of Hanna faded when he saw her but it made him question himself. Is he using the elegant dark haired beauty to forget his first love or did he slowly fell in love with her?
"Hey I'm just gonna grab a cup of coffee, I'll see you two around", he swallowed his fear and stared at hanna. Her bright eyes, her pink lips, her dimples and most importantly her smile. Wow. There she is, after five years. This is the girl he would have sacrificed his life for. She stared at him.
How can one even replace a love so pure, so real? The answer is, you can't. Spencer certainly understood the situation. She saw the way Caleb looked at Hanna. She knew what he felt, for it's the same thing she felt for Toby when she first met him after the years gone by.
However, being human comes with a great cost. Even the smart and brave Spencer couldn't prevent the connection between Caleb and Hanna. She looked down at the pavement and thought to herself that maybe she's looking too deep into the relationship between her and Caleb but part of her, part of her knew that she already loved him.
Hanna, the dolly. She would fight for the ones she loved. A simple smile on Caleb's face would make her happy. Everyone loves the emotions that comes with love, acceptance, loyalty, comfort and happiness. Of course Hanna loves the guy she has been with during the whole "A" situation, she always will but she can't help but wonder does she really want a future with Caleb, is guilt the only reason she held on to him for the past couple years or does she think that no one will be able to provide the love that Caleb provided for her?

5 years later.
"Growth should be taking place throughout your lives. Someday, you will fall in love, someday you will get your dream job and someday your heart will get broken but it doesn't matter because it will heal. Apologize when you've done wrong and then forgive yourself" Hanna spoke to an assembly of students. She gave a history of her life and how much power and control she has over it now. She got off the staged and kissed her husband, Jordan. She's happy, she's free.
Spencer hugged Toby and told him congratulations on his wedding with Yvonne. "My flight is in 2 hours, I'm so bummed that I can't stay for the after party" she sighed. Caleb walked across to her and gave her a slice of cake. "I'm really sorry that we can't stay Toby, but we've got our jobs and life back in England." He held Spencer's hand and kissed her gently on her lips.
