(Ryland's POV)
I was walking past Rydel's bedroom with my brothers, Brandon and Ratliff but I stopped outside of the room to look in. I stood in the doorway. There were blankets and pillows everywhere. A stack of films in the corner on a table along with snacks of every kind and bottles of fizzy drinks like Coca Cola, Sprite and more. Also Rydel was hanging up some fairy lights.
Ryland- Rydel?
She stopped what she was doing and turned around to look at us.
Rydel- Yeah?
Ryland- Why is your bedroom like this?
Rydel- Oh, we're having a sleepover tonight
Ross- We?
Rydel- Yeah, me, Alexa, Vanni, Court, Lori and Savannah
Riker- I didn't know Vanni was coming
Rydel- Yeah she is, just not to see you
Riker- Oh thanks
She laughs. I sigh.
Ryland- Right well lets go then
Boys- Ok, Bye
Rydel- Bye
Then we walked out of the bedroom and across the hall into mine where we played on the Playstation all night....
~2 hours later~
(Rydel's POV)
It was now 6:30pm and I was already in my pyjamas ready for when the girls get here. I wore a Pink tank top with white shorts that had unicorns on. I put the bowl of Popcorn down that I had just been downstairs for and I heard the doorbell ring so I ran out of my room and downstairs to answer the door. I opened it to see the girls stood there in their pyajamas and carrying some overnight bags. I smiled and they instantly ran in giggling and hugging me. Then they let go while I closed the door.
Lori- I cannot wait for tonight, it's going to be amazing
Alexa- Yeah, ooh! What films have you got?
Rydel- Come and look they're upstairs
So we practically ran upstairs and into my bedroom. They gasped as I stood there proudly. On the what was a blank pink wall, was now a selection of polaroid pictures of us all stuck to the wall and decorated around them was fairly lights. There was also lyrics that described out friendship.
Court- Oh my god! That's beautiful Rydel
Sav- It really is! I love it
Rydel- Thanks
Lori- Did you do this all on your own?
Rydel- Yep
Vanni- Well it's really good
Rydel- Thanks again but now back to the sleepover now how about we watch a film, then paint our nails, read magazines, watch another film maybe a romantic one and then talk about boys before watching another romantic one?
The girls all looked at each other smiling and then screamed together:
Girls- SLEEPOVER!
I laughed as they burst out laughing. I smiled. This is what I loved being with these girls. They are my best friends and like the sisters that I never had. I would not swap them for the world.
Alexa- So what are we watching first?
I walked over to the desk and looked through the stack of films I had. I held one up towards the girls who were now finding somewhere to sit or lie after putting their bags down.
Rydel- How about Lake Starlight?
Court- I love that film
Vanni- Same
Alexa- Yeah put that on
Then Savannah and Lori agreed. I walked over to the TV and took it out of the DVD case before putting it in the TV. Then I sat down and clicked play.
~2 hours later~
We were all sat there crying eyes out at the last scene. The girl, Cassandra and the boy, Timothy were out on the lake and were about to... Kiss, Kiss, Kiss...
Then their lips touched and they were kissing. I smiled along with the girls as we cried and wiped out eyes with tissues. It was so romantic. Then the after titles came on so I got up and turned the TV off.
Alexa- Alright well now we have cried after watching a romantic film, what's next?
Court- Well how about we go straight to talking about boys?
Girls- Yeah!
We all agreed and I went and put music on my stereo which was connected to my phone and Clarity by Zedd came on. Then I went and joined them in a circle on my pink fluffy rug in the middle of the room.
Rydel- Alright we're gonna go like this: I'll start and we'll go around the circle and everyone has to admit one thing about their relationship or one that they want to have with someone
Girls- Ok
Rydel- Ok well, what I'm going to tell you is going to stay in here between us ok?
They all nodded and we shook pinkies in a circle. It was all connected like a chain that can't be broken.
Rydel- Ok, I'm dating Ellington..
I watched as their faces all changed dramatically from curious to absolute shock.
Lori- Oh my god!
Court- I know! Wait how long?
Rydel- Six weeks
Vanni- Woah! What happened to telling each other everything?
Rydel- Well I just did
Sav- Rydel!
Rydel- I know, I'm sorry
Sav- I can't believe your in love with your best friend, it will ruin your friendship!
Rydel- You can't talk!
Everyone gasped and Savannah glared at me while I bit my lip after realising what I had done. Only I knew along with her family about her crush on Ryland.
Court- You like Ryland?
Sav- Maybe
Vanni- What, so are you dating?
Sav- Oh god no, Wish we were but no we're not and aren't going to clearly
Lori- I can't believe this! This is amazing!
Rydel- Really?
Vanni- Yeah! I mean with you dating Ellington and you liking Ryland, gosh I am loving this Sleepover
We all laughed.
Rydel- Right well how about we paint our nails now?
Court- Sounds good to me
The rest of the girls agreed and I got up and ran towards my drawers. I got out one of my make up bags for nails and went and opened it upside down in the middle of the circle so all of the bottles of nail polish fell out. There was dark colours, light colours, glittery colours and all other different sorts of nail polish which we had fun with for hours, painting each others nails in different colours while laughing and making memories that would last forever..
