Biology.

The word that makes my nerves go crazy. I've been dreading school every morning.

I take my seat in Biology next to my best friend, Alex, instantly tightening my fists.

"Ugh my teeth hurt," I attempt to break the silence with a smile.

"Having braces really hurt, they're so painful!" I explain bluntly.

Alex smiles and starts to talk about her love for some kind of band, but I choose to just nod instead of listening. I have so much on my mind.

"Hello students!! Today we are going to be switching partners," Our teacher, Mrs. H, grins a hateful smile.

"Ugh are you kidding me? I love my partner!" Alex complains along with a few others.

"Students! This means everyone will get along! You all should be thanking me!" She says in a single voice.

I roll my eyes at how she's acting today. She's not really the kind of teacher to be happy. She's usually just a normal teacher that gets paid, but it turns out today she's actually excited for Biology.

Alex and I exchange glances as everyone gets up from their seats.

Mrs. H starts to pair everyone with partners at each station.

"Isabella, station 8," I quickly sit down and look at Alex who sits at station 7.

We smile at each other making weird faces out of boredom.

"Umm yes! Zayn you can sit by Isabella at station 8," She says to a very tall guy.

I look up at him, glaring into his chocolate brown eyes not knowing he would instantly stare back into mine. I quickly look away.

His muscular body makes his way over to the seat beside me. I try not to stare but what guy in high school has that kind of figure? He must be pretty conceded.

"Hey I'm Z-Zayn." Zayn says in a clear British accent, looking in my direction.

I blush slightly trying to hide my face. What is a British guy doing here in the state of Indiana?

"Umm hi I'm-"

"Isabella I know, love," Zayn smiles.

I nod my head and begin to work on the assignment stated on the board.

"I can't believe we're stuck with book work for the period," Zayn huffs with annoyance and starts to fill out some of the blanks.

Staying silent I fiddle with my pencil and answer a few questions instead of paying attention to Zayn.

I must say he has amazing looks for a senior. His hair perfectly shaped and he has a small glint of sparkles in his eyes.

Shuffling in my seat, my pencil falls on the ground, "Crap," I whisper and quickly try to get it off the floor.

"I got it," Zayn smiles and picks the pencil up, handing it to me.

"Thanks," I return to my paper in which he nods in return.

*Lunch*

"He's totally adorable!!" Alex says with her mouth full.

"Yeah, he's okay," I smile and pick at my sandwich.

"Ahem, let me come back to that. He's smoking!" Alex smiles.

I take a sip from my water bottle.

"Why are you so silent?? You're never silent around me," Alex smiles.

Smiling I look up to see Zayn hanging out with a few others boys.

One of the boys have curly brown locks and evergreen eyes, while the other has baby blue eyes with blonde wavy hair. They begin to stare at us as Zayn points in our direction.

"Oh, you have your eyes on Zayn now?" Alex grins playfully.

It all suddenly comes to mind. These boys are literally different from every guy at this school. Zayn sees me staring at him and he waves with a small smirk.

"Huh?" I blush. "Oh.. maybe," I say exhausted.

"He seems pretty nice I suppose."

"Nice? Bells, he's much more than that," Alex rolls her eyes at my silliness. Alex is one of my friends that can read me like a book.

*Home*

"I'M HOME!" I shout through the house, shutting the door, stepping into the little house.

I see a note left on the counter.

Bella,

I left with your aunt to get a few groceries. I'll be home soon.

Love you,

Mamaw.

Great, I'm alone.

I smile to myself and head upstairs to work on some extra Biology work I didn't get done today because of Zayn.

Lots of things go through my mind about him.

He's so unpredictable. Even though he seems like one of the smartest kids in class because of his glasses. Maybe I'm getting a bit carried away. I mean, I just met him today but I can't help but be observant.

The way he talks, that British accent really makes me wonder why he moved here, to the USA, there's nobody from here who has an accent like that.

Sitting down on my bed I hear a van park into the driveway of the house next to mine.

I remember my mamaw mentioning someone was moving in there today but I never really gave my full attention to the conversation.

That house has been abandoned since I moved here.

When the people get out of the van, I see someone catch my eye.

Zayn lives right beside me.
