Rain pelted the city as five figures ran across the roof tops...lightning struck in the distance casting shadows over the figures. Leonardo stood on top of a water tower looking over the city despite the rain soaking his green skin...his three younger brothers took shelter under the tower while Sky stood on the edge of the rooftop.
She gazed over the city...the constant lightning strikes made her scales look like they were glowing. The female dragon kept her wings pinned to her back listening to the city...sudden movement caught her attention.
Something glistened when the lightning struck revealing a symbol that she wished never to see again a symbol that had brought her nothing but pain and misery...the symbol of killers.
She turned to Leo who apparently saw it too...the blue clad leader flipped off the water tower landing in front of his brothers "Get back to the lair now....*holds up hand stopping protests* I'm the leader and most importantly I'm in charge of you three and I say go home...me and Sky will be right behind you...now go."
Before the three younger turtles could run gun fire sounded...Sky and Leo tensed motioning the younger mutants to stay under the tower and under no circumstances should they come out. Dark laughter rang throughout the city...this spine tingling laughter the two eldest hoped to never hear again.
Leo and Sky slid into a fighting stance knowing more gun fire would come this time it wouldn't be a warning shot...lightning struck again casting shadows across the rooftop. Crystal and Sapphire eyes glared at the man before them...the man that brought nothing but pain.
His lonely green eye shown brightly...not with happiness but revenge, his face and most of his body was bandaged and under the protective white cloth sat permanent scars from their last encounter. Anger soaked his features...his fingers itching to pull the trigger, Leo and Sky stood silently taking in the appearance of what remained of this terrible man.
His voice was the same "It's nice to see you two again surprised to see me...Number 20?"
Behind the water tower the three younger turtles stood quietly listening to the man speak...wondering who he was but who ever he was he knew Leo.
Sky deepened her glare at the man...her crystal eyes were the eyes of a killer and she didn't care, the female dragon spoke her voice dark holding no emotion "That's a good look for you....Vincent."
The man smiled "I was beginning to think you forgot me... Tch but who am I kidding you can never forget me," with that he raised his gun and quickly fired a bullet making the two mutant flip away. Leonardo and Sky charged unsheathing their katanas getting ready to fight, once they knocked Vincent and his men back a few yards Leo flipped back over to the water tower.
His eyes met the gaze of his brothers he didn't have to say anything for them to know he wanted them to run and run far away. They obeyed darting across the rooftop safely to another roof getting away from the battle...Sky and Leo fought hard as more men charged at them it was a gruesome sight but it had to be done.
Both Leonardo and Sky stood their ground holding off the deadly men...a machete managed to slice Leo's arm and sky's side but neither seemed to care they only fought harder. Sky would stab, and slice with her katana then hit the injured man with a wing or her tail.
Leo stood proudly behind the female dragon and men began to surround them...the two mutants circled around taking out the men who dared to launch at them.
Even though they were supposed to run they watched from two rooftops over...the three younger turtles were both amazed and horrified by what their brother could do. Amazed at his skills and speed but horrified by the way he killed without a care in the world.
Rain poured down harder and lightning struck faster...Leo and Sky noticed the younger turtles...exchanging glances they flipped over the men taking out those who managed to get in their way. They needed to get the young mutants to safety it was their job to protect them.
Sky pushed Leo forward telling him to go she would catch up he didn't have time to think so he just nodded and ran with his brothers close...Vincent and his men stared at Sky and aimed their guns at her.
She closed her eyes as if excepting her fate...but before anyone could pull the trigger she reopened her eyes they burned with fury and with a battle cry she launched slicing furiously taking down most of the men before she was stabbed through the shoulder.
She glared at Vincent and spoke her voice was dark "You just made this fight go from dangerous to deadly Vincent...and this time you will die."
She snapped open her wings and launched into the air dodging the bullets that were fired at her...only a few managed to hit her wings....the turtles came into view they were waiting for her near a manhole cover, swooping down landing in a crouch she clutched her wounded shoulder and folded her wings.
Leo helped her walk back to the lair where Donnie treated their wounds...once they were stitched up Leo turned to his brothers Sky stood by his side...his voice was stern yet soft "This fight is mine and sky's....you three are to stay here I don't want you hurt."
Protests broke out among the three younger turtles but were silenced by Sky raising her hand, "Leo they deserve to fight the last two times we've tried to kill them we have failed adding three more to our side will do good....they can take down the stupid goons but Vincent will remain ours."
The blue clad leader looked to his companion then to his brothers...they each held a pleading gaze. With a sigh he spoke "Fine you can fight but first you must train to kill these men...in this battle honor does not qualify...the only thing that matters in this fight is that we come out on top and Vincent lies dead on the ground knowing that he lost."
