Daniel- Daniella. It's the only name I could think of for a Daniella. So don't bug me. I can change it later. 

Oliver- My friend in elementary school who's name was Olivia. Show off...

Jake POV 

So, it was the Thursday before the Friday before Valentine's Day. Now, for the many years of my almost thirteen years of existence, that's basically been my mom buying me stuffed puppies and candy. I remember this kid in my grammar school, Oliver, always got a ton of valentines from girls in class. I've never gotten a valentine before, heck, not even from my friends (hint hint, nudge nudge!) except those Winnie  the Pooh ones the "school moms" make their poor kids bring in for the whole class in grammar school.  And I don't think I spelt the bear's name right. Whatever. 

So, I was talking with Emmet and Asher at lunch. I told them I had a funny idea for this Valentines Day. I told Emmet we could send Julianna the Banana a Valentine. Problem was, I didn't know from who. 

Emmet cringed and he told me to stop giving him ideas. Then, he said to make it from this girl Davidina in our class, who Julianna is like obsessed with being BFFLS with. I was hoping more to send it from a boy, but I guess Davidina will work. 

So, I took this old envelope I had from inside my bedroom of manliness (THE JAKE CAVE)  and stole a sheet of pink paper from Mr Eckels classroom. (He'll never know...)

Then, when fifth period came, I asked Emmet what we were going to do about handwriting. He said we could type it and bring it in tomorrow morning, right in time for Valentines Day. And, I could glue the typed up letter onto the pink slip. 

So, after school I went straight home and made the valentine. Here's what it said: 

Dear Julianna, 

Happy V-Day! I'm so glad we're friends, and I wanted to make you a special card. See you at lunch, and I have a special surprise planned for the both of us after school. 

Love your BFF, Davidina. 

P.S. For our 18th b-days we'll be getting MATCHING FRENCH BULLDOGZ! 

OK, so maybe that sounds a little...weird. And maybe I should've made Davidina sound like a normal person instead of a freak, but we're technically brother and sister so I can get away with it (she's adopted in my School Family Tree). Aaron says she's a disgrace to our family. Which might be true. 

Then, reading it over,  I had another idea. For the surprise, we'd spray Julianna in my dad's shaving cream.  (He'll never know...) 

I stuck it into the envelope and placed it in my backpack pocket.
