Katie returned with Thorne ten minutes later. Thorne stepped and sighed heavily. It was never a good sign to see his Commander on the floor with her sister on top of her frantically trying to heal something. And his Junior Commander covered in blood being comforted by another sobbing angel she may or may not be in some sort of relationship with.
The fact that they'd waited this long meant it wasn't duty related. Instead it was most likely part of the ongoing angel drama that never seemed to stop. He'd learned a long time ago to stay out of it. The angels were worse than those Mediterranean Region plays he'd studied when becoming an officer. He supposed the angels wound count as a comedy since not everyone was dead, yet.
Drama was what you get when you put six post pubescent females together in close quarters for long periods of time. Add in they were all in some way involved in some weird revolving romantic relationship with each other and you probably get the mess in front of him. He was only positive on Kita and Snowy. How Sarin mixed with them he didn't know, plus the rumor of Sarin and Tina, and Tina with Katie, Anthrax with Sarin, and most recently Kita and Katie, made his head spin.
How Zidin managed to deal with all of them baffled him. Then again, he'd been with Kita longer than he'd known her. Maybe he was immune to it by now. Along time ago Zidin had told him he'd had several daughters in the past and the angels didn't even come close to the drama they put out. He was ever so glad to have never had children.
He already didn't approve of the female with female romantic bond. It didn't seem natural with him. The angels proved it wouldn't work well. He was positive if there was a few more males their age up there with them on regular basis things would return to a more natural state. But it wasn't his place to comment, just take orders and have to deal with outcomes like this.
"You sent for me Tina?" He asked trying to do his best to not comment on his surroundings.
"Yes, sir. As you can see both our Commander and Junior are incapable of duties. So that means you're in charge. I just found out that the other Legion commanders are due to arrive here shortly to discuss choosing a new Commandant. I don't think Kita's going to be able to play host of a while. So I think we're stuck with the job."
"When do they arrive?" Thorne asked trying not to show not only his agitation, but his nerves.
"I have no idea."
"Kita gave them four hours. Some are due in on the shuttle soon. The rest come in on the trains." Katie offered.
"How long ago was that?" Thorne asked.
"Almost three and half hours ago." Katie said gulping. "They should have been here a while ago."
"Well no shuttle has landed yet, but I will find out. Brigadier, find me when you're ready." Thorne ordered.
