~~~~~~*4 Months Ago*~~~~~~
The red stage lights shine in my face and I almost have to squint to see anything. The crowd screams loud enough to give even the most hard-headed of people a pounding headache. The smell of sweat lingers in the air from all the fans waiting for me to go onstage. I take a deep breath and throw my head back clenching my eyes shut.
Jinxx puts a gentle hand on my shoulder and asks, "Andy, you alright, man?"
I tilt my head sideways and look at him. I nod my head, "Yeah, man, just getting ready for the show," I gently push his hand off of my shoulder and start my vocal warm-ups.
"Tonight is going to rock! I mean look how many people are out there," Ashley said, shit eating grin on his face.
I continue my vocal warm-ups and ignore him trying to forget about my pounding headache.
"Alright, guys! You ready? It's almost time to go out there," Jake said with guitar in hand ready to go satisfy the fans.
We get to the last song of the concert and right in the middle of "Rebel Love Song", my eyes catch one certain fan jumping and singing along right in the front of the crowd. Seeing her and instantly forgetting the lyrics, I stare into her eyes and drop the mic.
A loud thud stops the music and the fans. The crowd goes quiet as the band starts whispering to each other and the girl stares back.
Jinxx comes up behind me and puts another gentle hand on my shoulder. We are still staring at each other when he asks, "Andy...dude, what's up?"
"Yeah, that's cool," I say as I notice a girl whispering to the girl staring at me.
"Dude, seriously, you didn't finish the song. The fans are waiting," he said, pointing to the crowd.
I snap out of it and notice the crowd staring back and some groups whispering to each other, too.
"Okay, but I can't finish the song. The concert's over. I need to talk to you right now," I said dragging him offstage and away from everyone else.
"What was with you out there," he asked, confused and curious.
"I saw someone..." I said, whispering and looking around, making sure no one was around.
"So, you see a lot of people at a band concert," he looked at me and crossed his arms. His eyes looked me all over trying to understand where this was going.
I tilted my head a little bit and whispered, "It was a girl..."
His eyes got wide and he put his hands on my shoulders, "Wow, are you sure you are the Andy I know? The Andy I know has never gone googley-eyed over a fan!"
I shook my head and shrugged him off, "Exactly, I don't know why I waited until now to have a connection with one of our fans..."
"I mean, there are plenty of girls in that crowd and you 'connect' with one in the front..." he looked at me and shook his head.
"What," I asked, looking at him as he looked at me with a disappointed look.
"I just don't understand. Out of all these years, you could have fallen for any number of them, but then this one girl comes to a concert and you fall for her instantly? What's up with that?"
"You'll understand once you see her. I swear!"
I walked back out of the side curtain and onstage again, Jinxx not far behind me. I stood onstage as all the fans look at me, complete silence. I tap his shoulder and point at her and her friend.
She had Strawberry Blonde curls that hung around her shoulders and the brightest blue eyes. She wore dark skinny jeans with a hole in both knees. Her DC sneakers layered over the bottom of her skinny jeans. She wore one of our band t-shirts and a black hoodie jacket. Her hair had a single black and white bandana tied up in it and she painted her face with a newer version of my warpaint.
Her friend wasn't as BVB enthusiastic. She wore regular blue jeans with black Converse sneakers. Instead of a BVB t-shirt, she wore a Sleeping With Sirens t-shirt. On top of the t-shirt was a plaid, half-sleeved shirt and a silver necklace. Her hair was honey brown and stick straight, but hung down a little past her shoulders, definitely longer than her friend's. Her makeup only consisted of black eyeliner that was applied thin enough to where it was noticeable, but still there around her hazel eyes.
He looked between the two girls and nodded. He picked up a microphone and tapped it. It thumped and he cleared his throat, "Okay, BVB Army! Andy and I decided to pick two fans to come back and hang out with the band. As an apology for not properly finishing the concert, we will hold a signing and you may take pictures with your favorite BVB member. Thank you!"
I looked at him and nodded. As he nodded back I took the mic from him and announced, "I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but the two fans coming backstage after the signing have already been picked. I apologize, but they will be..."
