"i don't need you anyways!"

the door slammed and the paintings shook.
my legs were folded under my weight,
and i laid on the floor with tears running down my face.
i need to get out of here.
i ran as fast as i could down the back alleys and by the darkened buildings.
i don't care how unsafe it was out here,
i needed to get away.
as i turned the corner i turned my head upwards looking at the night sky.
my gaze was disturbed when i ran head on into someone.

"watch where you're fucking going!"

i looked up ready to apologize, when my eyes met hers.

🌸🌸🌸

i walked down the staircase and out of the building ready to take on the world.
i just ran away from home with only a duffle bag to live out of.
here goes nothing.

my heart stopped when i hopped off the bus onto the city block.
i finally did it.
left my past and all my bad memories.

i turned around and leaned on the building behind me.
my hands unzipped my duffle,
and i reached to grab my pack of menthols.
i reached into my pocket and pulled out my lilac lighter.
the flame wrapped itself around the end of my cigarette,
and lit a flame at the tip.
i took a huge breath,
but before could exhale someone turned the corner running straight at me.

"watch where you're fucking going!"
i screamed.

i looked at her and it was enough to stop time.
