There is more to life than what we see
We don't always turn out the way we want to be
This is where we want to go
When we want things to go slow
Where are you now?
Because I don't see how
You were there
Then you weren't anywhere
You are alone
Far away from home
Everything is falling apart
We won't go back to the way we start
Why does everything have to be this way?
Where everything is put away
There is more to life than what we see
The world isn't what we want it to be
The Lord envisioned it differently
But that's not what He sees
He envisioned peace and family
But he sees death and indignity
He sent His Son to die for our sins
But, for some of us, that's not the world we live in
You say, "Thou shalt have no other gods before me"
But they don't believe only you created all we see
You say, "Thou shalt not make any graven image"
But they want to give you a visage
You say, "Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain"
But what they give is slain
You say, "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy"
But some do not want to celebrate your glory
You say, "Honour thy father and thy mother"
But they disdain both or one or the other
You say, "Thou shalt not kill"
But some do not follow that will
You say, "Thou shalt not commit adultery"
But they ignore the one they see
You say, "Thou shalt not steal"
But they don't ask how others would feel
You say, "Thou shalt not bear false witness"
If they don't know it, it's not a business
You say, "Thou shalt not covet"
If it's not yours, don't strongly desire it
These are the 10 Commandments of the Lord
If you don't know, they're in the Word
If you don't know how to get through
Just ask yourself, "What Would Jesus Do?"
