Poem for Kyou Sohma

Note: Based on Kyou Sohma from the anime, Fruits Basket.

You say that you're so cold,
But that saying is getting old.
You don't let anyone in to see the true you,
But one of these days, that phase will be through.
Your heart is like stone, an impenetrable barrier,
But if you keep up this act, it will only grow heavier.
Let the world be able to enter through,
Let that light shine through you.
You say that you need no love,
But there is a star shining for you above.
I can't get in, you've locked the doors,
Outside those walls, the rain, it pours.
Can't you hear me crying?
Because a part of me is dying.
Why do you keep on lying?
You're not who you used to be,
You just drift away from me,
Like a boat on an endless sea.
The waves crash down, but you don't run,
You just wait for the rising sun.
As the storm comes, you hear a heartbeat,
It's very faint, ever so deep.
