Latching On

Chapter 16

Elena's POV

We all headed to the restaurant in the SUVs. Cameron was driving us, I had no idea we're we were going but, whatever.
We soon pulled over in front of Chipotle. I squealed because I just loved it.
" Yass!" I screamed, jumping up and down.
" Calm down, woman!" Cameron looked at me from the mirror.
I held up my arms in defense.
We all entered the restaurant, ordered our food and sat at the biggest table they had.
I sat next to Matt and Katrina, I was talking to Matt about what we should do tomorrow.
" Let's go surfing tomorrow!" I said, pumped.
" You know how to surf?" Matt asked me, scrunching his eyebrows.
" Yeah, I'm the best!" I said sarcastically in a 'duh' tone. But, seriously I'm quite good at it.
" That's hot." He smirked.
I punched him playfully on the shoulder and said " Just finish your food already."
Since I eat quite fast, I was the first to finish and everybody else we're still eating.
I continued talking to Matt about whatsoever. When everybody finished eating, it was around 9:45 pm already.
We all headed back to the hotel and dashed back to our rooms. I changed into some comfy pajamas , and snuggled myself to bed.
I was about to fall asleep when Sarah, Angela and Katrina jumped on my bed.
" What the hell guys?" I laughed slightly while sitting up.
" Let's have a girl talk!" Angela squealed.
" Why?" I asked, while yawning.
I really wanted to go to sleep, but the girls forced me to do whatever 'girl talk' is.
" So, I heard there's been something going on with you and Cameron." Angela winked at Katrina.
Katrina started blushing and pulled up her sleeves to her cheeks to hid her blushing.
We all laughed and continued messing around.
" So El, I've seen that you and Matt have been getting closer." Sarah said to me with a really funny face.
I laughed, trying to hide the blush appearing on my rosy cheeks.
" Well, I do like him, alot." I said to them.
" He seems to like you too, alot." Angela added as Sarah and Katrina nodded.
I bit my lip as Katrina spoke up " Maybe he'll ask you out."
And they all squealed as I rolled my eyes playfully.
We continued just talking about random girl stuff until we all got sleepy. We all went back to each of our beds.
I sighed as I snuggled myself into the covers.
I quickly felt my eyes drop as I fell asleep.

-- The Next Day --

I slowly opened my eyes to the beam of the sunlight shining through the curtains. I stretched my arms over my head and let out a yawn. I stood up and saw that Katrina and Sarah were still sleeping. I also heard the shower running so I guessed that it was Angela getting ready. I carefully made my way to my suitcase and pulled out some clothes. I laid them down on my bed and waited for Angela to finish. While waiting, I heard my phone buzz, I grabbed it from the nightstand and opened up the message, I got a confused look on my face when I saw that it was from a blocked number, I read the text and confusion ran all over my face.

Remember what I told you, stupid little shit.
Next time, you'll never see your precious friends.

I read the text again, what the hell is this. I put my phone back and sat on my bed, thinking who the hell would send me a threat.
" Elena?" Angela's voice snapped me out of my thoughts.
" Oh yeah?" I asked her.
" Are you alright?" she asked a hint of worry in her voice.
" I'm fine, are you still using the bathroom?" I asked, trying to changed the subject.
" Uh, yeah, you can use it now." She replied, still confused.
I headed towards the bathroom with my clothes. I took a quick shower and blow-dried my hair and applied just some concealer and mascara. I quickly slipped on my clothes and stepped out of the bathroom. Sarah and Katrina were already up, getting clothes from their suitcases. We all finished getting ready and decided to go downstairs to the hotel's breakfast buffet. We all headed out of our hotel room and walked over to the elevator.

Nash's POV

" Hey, you took a sip of my milkshake!" I screamed at Matt as he was laughing in his seat. I was so glad that we made up, because not talking to him would kill me. I know he loves Elena and that I told him that I would try to move on and get out of the picture but the feelings keeps coming back when see her and her beautiful smile.
